12-3 in their last 15. Can’t ask them to do more than that. They're still 5 games out of first. Need to do a lot more winning.
They have put a nice run together. Hopefully it continues. I’m not paying super-close attention but it seems to have started once Goldy came alive.12-3 in their last 15. Can’t ask them to do more than that.
I know a lot of people laughed at Mo going and getting a bunch of 34 years olds but it is true that those guys just eat innings. Now that the offense has shown a pulse if this team gets a lead and allows Romero, Kitteridge, and Helsley to come in, the game is over. Other bullpen pieces have been really good as well.Wynn & Herrera have been good thru the streak. Goldy is showing a natural decline w/age. Carpenter has surprised. About at the same place as last year with 1/3 of the season gone. Hopefully the starters can hold up because they tanked last year from this point.
Pretty awesome game today. Defense really looked good and the pitching was great. I don't know what it is with Hendricks though. He continues to be St. Louis kryptonite.
Thank god for the NL Central. If they were in a division with competent teams, they'd be so far out I would've given up watching by now. With this dumpster fire of a division, everything is still really on the table.
I had a similar call, I think last spring, that I answered. It was an actual live and very friendly person. I almost felt sorry that I didn't have a problem or request for them to help with.I got a call today from an STL number so I declined it. They left a voicemail. It was from my "personal Cardinals representative, Rachel" checking in to see if I was aware of all the upcoming special nights and if I'd be making plans to come to a game this year. She at least sounded like a real person; not a recording or AI.
Is this something they always do? Or, are they doing some marketing to try and get people to come to the games due to declining attendance?
Admittedly, I hadn't been to a game for 5 years before last summer and used cardinals.com to buy the tickets last year, so this might just be the first year they've had my contact info.
I had that happen a couple of years ago also. It was a legit call, and they made us an offer for special tickets for certain nights.I got a call today from an STL number so I declined it. Agree! Friendly & helpful!I had a similar call, I think last spring, that I answered. It was an actual live and very friendly person. I almost felt sorry that I didn't have a problem or request for them to help with.
They’re in the race which is far better than I ever imagined back in April/May.Well better than I thought at this point. Still not happy with the FO.
Also known as “the Minnesota special”They’re in the race which is far better than I ever imagined back in April/May.
That being said, none of this matters. They are not built to actually contend for a WS. At best they sneak into the playoffs only to get swept out.
