Folks the Big 12 could lose every first round game and it is what it is. A single elimination tournament doesn't compare to an entire season.

But in the end, the country is full of players that can play really good basketball. It has coaches that can coach at a really high level. This isn't like football where pure athleticism, size and talent make upsets just harder.

So yes, the Big 12 is the best conference, but this is basketball where one team could have an off night shooting or an on night shooting. The sport is much more volatile than a sport like football.

And most teams in the tourney from other conferences are legit teams.

And so far all that's played is our marginal teams. BYU was always up and down depending on how their shooting is. And in the NIT Oklahoma would have had an automatic bid to the NIT but declined, and otherwise its our 9th-11th place teams playing in the NIT against teams that finished much higher in their conferences.

- Kansas State (9th big 12) lost to the 6th place team in the big 10
- Cincy (10th big 12) beat #3 WCC
- UCF (10th big 12) lost to #1 AAC
