*** Official 2019 Big 12 Tournament Champions Thread ***

Let them have the football game. Attendance is better for Bball in KC.

I forget where it was on which Big 12 Facebook page, but some Baylor fan was complaining about how the tournament was held in KC (a deal which was struck to pacify the northern schools in return for always having the football title game in JerryWorld, which makes tons of sense). Tried to prove that the "attendance in KC" thing was a myth by posting attendances for all the tournaments. Something like the top 10 attended tourneys were all in KC. Granted, Dallas was something like only 1K behind and OKC 2K, but stats don't lie - the tourney does better in KC.

Besides obvious reasons, I wanted us to win the Big 12 tournament just to see us put the I-State logo on that "Ticket Punched" placard.

It probably doesn’t happen that often in P6 conferences, I’d imagine. Trying to think of examples off the top of my head. Maybe the Kembo Walker UCONN team? The Luke Recker Iowa team? I’m a bad person to find examples because I really don’t pay that much attention to non-Big 12 teams.

Baylor fan’s opinion of it won’t have any value until they can actually even sell out one of their own home games.
