I'm kind of bummed Bryson DeChambeau didn't make the field. He was fun to watch last year.

My reason for him being a Dark Horse, his last 4 tournaments in the last month and a half plus:
Feb 16
Genisis Open - CUT

Mar 2
WGC-Mexico - T25

Mar 16
Arnold Palmer - T45

Mar 22
WGC Match Play - T51

He's not been playing well after a great start to the season. He is my dark horse as I think he turns it around this week.

If you want to get that technical, though, I'll give you a third option. Matt Fitzpatrick.

Matsudrama is weird. He basically didn't hit a bad shot for the greater part of the year last year and now he kind of stinks. Maybe he had his Billy Horschal flash and is done. He's hard to pick for this event. I normally think the harder it is to putt on a given course, the more is negates putting, but at Augusta you have make so many mid range putts that I think it matters a lot.

Yeah, it's a crap shoot. And as discussed throughout this thread, weather could play a role in the scores before the cut. Anyone who can place their irons/wedges where they want when the greens are soft, has a huge advantage. But I expect to see the conditions get much tougher as the weekend goes on. I'm just hoping there is a little group at the top on Sunday to make it interesting.

A lot of guys flash and disappear on the tour.

Bryson got some pub for a different approach to the game.

All Keegan Bradley's exemptions run out this year and i look for him to go over the horizon as well.

Didn't know that. So you're telling me we can get rid of him and Poulter in the same year? Tiger was a small price to pay for that kind of addition by subtraction.

I have a suspicion this Masters is going to suck and someone like Branden Grace or Bill Haas or someone else who isn't interesting is going to win.

This wouldn't be the first time he's withdrawn from a Walker pairing.

(I stole this)

Maybe these guys aren't your type of deal but if you want some humor with decent golf takes attached, and one guy making fun of most of the guys in the field, follow the No Laying Up guys on Twitter. They know a lot about the game but also keep it kind of light. I thought they'd be kind of avoided by players since none of them are sacred but they have gotten guys like Rory, Spieth, JT (The Ambassador) and Horschel on their podcast so they're pretty well respected. They also make fun of the old school media and their narratives which I love.
