Very happy for Sergio. Good to put that no majors issue to bed, as he's had a fantastic career. He was going through a lot of emotions right there on the green after he won. Love to see him finally get one!

I liked that both were congratulating the other on great shots down the stretch. It was something you see more on the LPGA then the PGA these days. It all made for great TV. Kinda surprised there were not more posts here on the final nine holes. Maybe the interest faded with Spieth and Rickie fading.

"Sergio and I have played a lot of golf together since we were 14 years old," Rose said afterwards.

"We have a great friendship and a good rivalry. It is good for him to have the monkey off his back and I am very pleased for him."

He later tweeted: "Congrats @TheSergioGarcia. Incredible battle out there. Sport in the moment can be tough. But it's just sport. Hope you guys enjoyed it."
