Ya. Sounds right. He was hitting the ball hard and elevating it a bit more. Just never got back to comfortable at the plate. I like him for the same reasons you like Zo. He's a pros pro.

Zo went out of his way to give my 11-year-old an autograph at Spring Training this year. Hard to see him struggle.

Anyone else not real fond of Puig? The guy is an arrogant ass. His performance backed it up, but the dude is a prick.

All is true but he is one hell of a talent that most teams would love to have. It's like having a diva WR in the NFL, if he's on your team you love him but any other team and you hate him.

His schtick doesn't play as well when he is struggling, which he has for the last year and a half. Pretty sure he was in the minors recently? Played a game in Des Moines I think?

I hate the fact that Zobrist hasn't performed, as he is a professional's professional. A winner, but you are correct he is a liability this year. Will be very interested to see what Joe and Theo do with him next year. Heyward I think is a different story. Gold Glove in the outfield, and although he isn't a powerhouse at the plate, he has held his own this season (especially compare to last).

Heyward has only held his own this year only when compared to his season last year. He's terrible at the plate, especially for a corner OF. He's an automatic out against good pitching as he's shown in each of the last two postseasons. He's a big reason for the Cubs hitting struggles and i don't see how you can go into next year with him as a starter.

I was in the right field bleachers during the first series this year at Wrigley against the Dodgers (we won that game, btw). The fans in the bleachers were relentlessly harassing Puig. I felt bad at the time, but no longer.

I would respect Joe a bit more if benches a few guys tomorrow. The backups can't possibly hit the ball any worse than the regulars are hitting. La Stella, Almora, Avila should all be in the starting lineup.
