Why did Miami get the time out restored in the final minute? I was busy and didn't catch the entire sequence of events.

ISU had a helmet come off so clock was stopped prior to the time out.

Somewhere in there was a declination of some sort.

Explanation was we had a guy lose his helmet, which would stop the clock, so their timeout wasn't taken.

I think they said there was some kind of 10 second runoff with the helmet, but obviously Miami would decline that.

I enjoyed reading the comments from this season. In spite of all evidence and simple reality, I treasure my fellow Cyclone fans who continue to believe our teams can succeed. I am not sure what you smoke, drink, inhale, or accept as your worldview, but it is endlessly entertaining, along with your continuing belief that the world of athletic judgment is continually biased against an athletic program based in a small town most Americans do not know exists. As I mentioned in a previous post, I am sure the extra practices will provide manifold benefits moving forward.
Wow. This is a doozy. Lol.

Duh!
I think that's all it was.

There seemed to be an idea that it was a weird thing but I think it was by the rules the whole way.
Agreed. A MiamI player lost his helmet, which negated the TO.
I was probably giving them too much credit, but questioned whther it was intentional at the time.

Tune in at halftime of the Army Game on ESPN, as according ot Matt Barrie (Ariz. State Alum fwiw), "Cam Ward Goes out in Style!" lol. Just TOO funny! Cannot make this stuff up.

That was a great win, and overall fun game, and from what I could see on the TV, a fantastic experience. It looked like a pretty solid crowd. Like others have said, the sponsor went out of their way to create a fun atmosphere, which is really what a bowl game should be about; an end of the season celebration for the athletes and fans!
This was more of a exhibition then a spring game. Got to give it up to mat and staff not to go full fetal from the start

My daughter and I watching the game in NC, and she thought this was hilarious - she’s in her 40’s
