Duh!
I believe these were the starters listed on the depth chart at the beginning of the season:

DL: Petersen, Onyedim, Orange

LB: Sadowksy, Bacon, McLaughlin

DB: Freyler, Verdon, Cooper, Purchase, Porter

Onyedim (portal), Porter, and Verdon all opted-out of the bowl.

Freyler got hurt in the first half.

Bacon has been out since Game 1.

McLaughlin was hurt before the season started, and has only played in 5 games all year.

Sadowsky has been banged-up all year.

Considering all that … Heacock did a great job.
Totally. Especially considering the injuries to the 2 deeps, as well.

Thank you. I left the room and when I returned they were still in timeout. Was it a full timeout or just stopping the clock while the ISU player left the field?
I can’t believe this is a rule. What stops you from ripping the defensive players helmet off under the pile in a 2 minute drill.

After reading this, what are some of your favorite foods?
So this is tough. I like food. I’d be hard pressed to think of something I didn’t like. Maybe chicken feet? Even that I still eat at Dim Sum when someone gets it. Chapulines, but I might still get it if it is on the menu.

I legitimately like black pudding (and white pudding), and even have both in my freezer right now. As for Irish food, it is always a hard choice if there is Shepard’s Pie and Corned Beef on the menu.

Irish food isn’t my favorite though. That’s probably a toss up overall between Indian, Mexican, and Italian.

My under-the-radar choice might be Romanian food though. They have a saying that pork is the best vegetable. I love their food.

But off the top of my head if I had to pick one food it isn’t very exotic: Smoked pork ribs. I would argue for lengua being the best burrito meat though.

Sorry, my answer is both long and lame. Food and music are just too hard for me to rank.

What about you?

ISU had a helmet come off so clock was stopped prior to the time out.

Somewhere in there was a declination of some sort.
Except the clock didn't start until the ball was snapped. Shouldn't it start as soon as the officials set the ball after the player is subbed out?
Yea. His calf was probably down based on the replay but I have absolutely no idea how they determined he was short of the goal line when it happened. Had they called him short on the field I would agree it should be upheld. But don’t understand how they saw enough to overturn there. Was afraid we were going to get screwed at that point. Thankfully we scored anyway although it was too close for comfort.
Especially after they did not review the bad spot on the previous play.

Black pudding was inedible on my trip to Ireland. I tried it multiple times and just couldn't do it. Not many in our group liked it so I was just curious.

Lengua? Hell no. Mejilla is where it's at.

Since Miami declined the 10 second runoff, the clock started on the snap. If you accept the 10 second runoff, it starts on the officials signal.

It's artificial. The aspect college football is ******. Used to love it over the NFL. It's gone. We beat the hurricanes yaa! Did they want to play like it meant something? No. Also we couldn't win a watered down b12. Goes back again and again to 21 season. Had the studs on offense, really good defense. O line sub par, coaching, suspect at best. Glad Campbell got his ten win season. Congrats

What the actual ****?

Just read Pop Tarts bowl had 4.3 million viewers.

For comparison, Penn State SMU had around 6 and Tennessee Ohio State had nearly 15 million.

I’m actually fairly impressed by the numbers given a non playoff game bowl.

And also why these non-playoff bowl games will never go away. I believe yesterday was our second most watched game of the entire season.

Now we know the "f" in "Bob f" must mean f***wad.

If you check his post history, I think it more likely stands for fascist.
Let's take the high road. The f in Bob f means:
Fun
Fabulous
Factotum
Fair-minded
Faithful
Fanatic
Fabulous
Fiery
Fine
First-rate
Five-star
Flawless
Flower
Forgiveness
Four-star
Fun
Fungus
Fuqthat
One-star

I couldn't help myself.

I'm a little tired of the cal Ward didn't play thing. We had two NFL guys in our secondary not out there. Does anyone think for one minute Porter and verdon not being out there made a big difference? Then we lose Beau as well.

We had great players that didn't play as well.
Agree. But this is flowing upstream and NOT part of the narrative that you need to accept. LOL

I think article was about last year but read the estimated value of brand exposure for pop tarts was over 12 million dollars. And this tier of bowl games usually costs a fraction of that for naming rights. So lucrative deal for sponsors and TV.
