The defense has been fine other than 3rd and long. It's not the players' fault when the coaches refuse to rush at least 4 guys.

It's been a problem every year Campbell has been here. It's fine to have a "3-4" base, but exclusively bringing 3 guys, let alone on 3rd and long DOES NOT WORK. After 7 seconds someone either becomes open or the QB scrambles (as we saw here) due to ample running lanes and all the defenders downfield.

I mean, this scheme has NEVER worked, at least when we aren't getting pressure (which is most of the time against quality opponents). At some point you can't keep pissing on an electric fence and expect different results.

Defense was great on Chubba’s touchdown, right? It should have been a loss of three but we missed at least three tackles and they scored. This defense is just letting Okie State do whatever they want.
