he had a long one called back on an iffy hold. if not for that he is 70+ on 11 carries. hes fine.
His accuracy has been off, particularly on some of the deep shots (thought I suspect Milton's routes may also be a bit off on a few of those). But, other than the throw into double coverage (where someone ran the wrong route), he hasn't forced a stupid throw.
Had the one big run that was called back, but yes they need to run him more. I terior softened up after the first couple drives with those screen passes.
We need to stop running him up the gut. Get him space on the outside
Rusty, he's been out of place a time or two, but yes, great to see him.
And the only Hakeem with a chance at catching either of those is Olajuwon
I think we need to ride our TEs, with enough "other stuff" thrown in to keep Texas honest, until the Horns show they can cover and stop them. At some point they will have LBs covering/shadowing upon release which should help Breece get to and past the 2nd level on some runs.
2nd half - time for our best players to play as the best versions of themselves. Margins and such...
need to get breece involved more but need to keep passing. hopefully some passes out in the flats or some RB screens are in the playbook for the 2nd half
They’ve been able to establish the run game, we haven’t yet. Hopefully that changes in the 2nd half and Breece goes off
some of his yardage has been in big situations of 3rd and short though.. he's been close to busting a few of the outside ones.. it will happen
I'm really hoping Purdy getting some yards on designed runs and spreading the ball around opens some opportunities. I think he gets a touch in the red zone at the end of the half if we don't piss away our TOs
Left 11 point on the field in the first half. That is going to come back to haunt ISU. Also gave 3 points to TX by lining up wrong
