Lipsy isn't supposed to shoot the 3. But I'm not sure why that is any worse than Jones missing 5 layups a game.

You're so obsessed with this. I noticed last season you were obsessed with "the dog house". Do you just pick something each season (Lipsey is not a good shooter and we don't want him shooting many 3s), warp it in your mind (Lipsey is not allowed to shoot), and fixate on it until the following year? Goodness gracious.

There is absolutely a reason a few posters only show up after losses.

Disappointing game but hopefully it refocuses the guys for a good run on the back half of Big12 play. Ultimately not a bad loss and not one we had to win

However, I will expect them to perform just as well without him. Being one player or even two players down is no excuse to not be as good as you are with them.
Uhh. No. They will be different. You know he was preseason player of the year for the league right? And he's averaging 20 a game.

EDIT: I think I misread your sarcasm

Well, I was told by many that this was a meaningless game
So what did you want? Playing Grill and possibly risk him getting hurt worse and then out for weeks...and even then not even guaranteeing a win?

And you heard right. In terms of the the league title, this game is meaningless. And it's a Q1 loss.

Not really about Grill. More about the narrative people such as CW making that a loss doesn't matter. Comments like these were made before any decisions were made on Grills availability

Yeah, I get it, and why did we have to play Missouri 2 years in a row? They sucked badly last year so probably shouldn't have even been in this. 14 SEC teams and they couldn't have worked out something else besides Missouri again?
Why not. The ISU v Mizzou is a great matchup for each fan base due to the Big 8/12 rivalry.

Would much rather have a game that Clone fans can attend than playing the Gators or Gamecocks, etc.

Only reason today sucked is that a win would put us in the top 10 and I wanted that. Otherwise a team shooting as good as Missouri from 3 today and not a lot of teams come out with a win.
I’m in the same place. Much as I tel myself being top 10 right now doesn’t matter it certainly has a nice ring to it. This is two Saturdays in a row we’ve missed that opportunity after beating a top 10 opponent. That up and down is wearing on me a little bit.

But this really isn’t a “bad loss” in grand scheme of things (it’s a Quad 1).

I found myself having high expectations today even though we’re going on the road against a top 50 NET team with a potent offense and missing 2 starters. That I’m itself tells me we’re still in a really good place.
