Yeah, if they have a cold shooting game, they're going down. They're built like a good version of Iowa.

The problem is that they have SO many 3-point shooters. Therefore, if one or two are off, others can pick up the slack.

I was also impressed with BYU’s ability to get open 3-point looks. They move the ball around as good as any team that I have seen. Plus, they are excellent at driving and kicking it out. Having said that, I hope they get bounced in the first round.

ISU was in a very difficult spot, down 2/3 of the best backcourt in the Big XII and having played a tough game yesterday. If Iowa State had won this game it would legitimately have been one of the best wins in your program's storied history because it was a definite uphill battle to start with and the odds were SO stacked against you.

I think someone would have gotten second-degree burns if they had touched Curtis Jones in the first half, but I also thought that playing the game yesterday would hurt his long-range shooting in the second half and it did. The first place fatigue shows up is always in the jump shots, and the incredibly intense way he plays defense takes a LOT of energy.

Momcilovic had a great game, considerably better than the last time these teams played, and Jackson showed a tremendous amount of heart and muscle. BYU had a big rebounding advantage last game, but definitely not this time and a lot of that was Jackson. Not having Lipsey REALLY hurt ISU though because he and Jones together are absolute murder in the trapping defense you guys run. Kelderman gave it his best, but he's no Lipsey. No shame there: damned few are. Jefferson is a beast and a damn good ball handler for a big man, but not having Lipsey hurt there too.

This game wasn't remotely a fair test of ISU. I think with a healthy Lipsey, a healthy Gilbert and no game yesterday you guys probably win by at least ten.

Just as a side note, I was watching this game with BYU fans and they were yapping about all the fouls ISU committed that didn't get called. I think one thing we can all agree on is that officiating overall DEFINITELY needs to improve. Some of those guys look like they could use seeing-eye dogs out there!

One last comment: the more I see Coach Otzelberger, the more impressed I am. I don't know when his contract is up but when it is, whatever it costs to keep him, PAY IT.

I'm sure we're all a little biased but I thought they were absolutely handsy/draped over Milan almost every possession.

On our drives they were jamming our players with both hands and stopping them. Wasn’t small hand checks it was full pushes to stop the drive.

Also, their coach was way out of the box many times. TJ was even getting on the ref about it I saw. Once he was within a couple feet of TJ and a few feet on the court, the ref even had to grab him and pull him back since he was in front of the ref.

Credit where credit is due. ISU played great, even w/o their starting guards. BYU weathered what ISU could muster.

We'll see. They have 4-5 really good shooters. They are still hot. So the chances they go to the 16 are better than not.

They beat us in Ames by out rebounding us 52-24. If we flip that to 42-34, we win the game. Rebounding, not shooting, killed us last week.

IMO a sweet 16 should be the floor for any TJ team. It’s not really an accomplishment it’s the expectation.

Make a S16 is still a tough thing to do. But I don't think that is an 'out of this world' expectation.

I also agree a S16 is better than a Big 12 tournament title, tbh.
