Watching the replay, and commercials with perfect video and crystal clear audio really highlight how annoyingly bad the actual ESPN+ broadcasts are. It's too bad, because we had a good team announcing that game.
Was your audio super choppy all night? Whenever my audio got choppy the video was fine and the choppy audio lasted for a minute or two at a time. I ended up muting it when it happened for the fifth time.

Yes, audio was choppy for me. Also muted a couple times.

Ours was choppy all night long, but the picture was perfect for the KSU/Arizona game. Wonder if it was an equipment problem for our game or a bandwidth problem. ESPN had the same problem broadcasting some of the Div 2 football games this fall, I would say its bandwidth and they are trying to squeeze to many games into the available bandwidth.

Yeah it's so stupid that they make you watch the "commercial" when it is just a screen saying we will be right back lol. If it's actually commercials I can understand but if you just show me a screen that's stupid
I never understood why ESPN didn't throw up an ESPN commercial of upcoming games or some canned Big12 marketing piece on the 2 schools or an oversized crawl with scores around the country. To put up a static image with horrible music seems so 1960's off-the-air TV.

I tried a couple times to sync Walters/Heft, but it kept going out of sync because of the ESPN+ issues.

They are trying to broadcast too many games at once, and would have to hire more people to get all those ready and playing, its easier to just throw up the static image during a break.

Leading up to the games, they sometimes have a 15 second ESPN commercial that repeats endlessly and drives me nuts. You'd think they would just throw that in with their big advertisers and say "hey, if you buy this package, I'm going to give you X amount of dead air ads for free"

I am guessing it was a bandwidth problem, but would put the blame more on the upload from Orlando than ESPN being overwhelmed by content.

I wish they would just cut to a wide angle view of the court with crowd noise for the audio.

It was bad last night although I feel like I've had plenty of games that it simply froze up or wouldn't play.

Any time ISU opens up against UNI in football and I'm in Iowa I'll assume I won't be able to watch the game.

Let's get back to the test pattern!

It's this for me. I saw the same two commercials for Orlando Health and UCF at least 3x every commercial break last night. The only way to have watched last nights game without going crazy was on mute.

Iowa State just systematically broke down the UCF Knights in their home building. The difference in discipline between the two teams is significant. Johnny Dawkins looks like he just rolls the ball out for practice. I would love to see Keshon's friend Keshawn Hall in an ISU jersey because that dude can flat out ball on offense. Great win by a great Cyclone squad.
I would guess Keshawn Hall is going to the draft. He's had some very high scoring games this year and is one of the leading scorers in the conference. Might even be leading it. I'd say his age will keep him out of the lottery but I think he'll be a first rounder.
