This was the definition of a team loss tonight. Yes, we can’t have Milan play that poorly and expect to win. But he’s still a freshman. Meanwhile we had guys with way more experience making really questionable decisions and missing easy shots.I know everyone is going to be wanting to lay the loss on Milan, but that just isn't 100% true. He had two really bad turnovers. But how many shots did we miss from 2 feet tonight? We had at least 3 chances to tie and couldn't make a bunny to get a tie.
Refs were fine. Thought they got a little whistle happy and that impacted the flow of the game. Which hurt both teams but they weren’t bad in either direction.Didn’t have a real problem with the refs tonight. Consistently poor for both sides is about all we can ask for in this era of CBB
A whole lot of lazy comments flying around in this thread.
Eh, Baylor is pretty elite offensively and BYU when they were on. Not surprisingly, two teams that gave the Cyclones trouble.Illinois is above and beyond better offensively than we saw all year
Dumb comment. Milan was face guarded close at all times. That opens up other lanes we didn't take advantage of.Oh Milan. You lost us the game. Wasn’t just the TO. Today it was black hole type of performance. You will be a great player, but tonight wasn’t your night.
Agreed. Also, my comment is not to diminish what they've provided this program. They've been key the last 3-2 years. However, in this matchup, they just weren't it.Well they are gone and we already have a good one coming
They take on Otz's demeanor in that regard, which is a good thing. What I appreciated most is we didn’t see a Cyclone player complain about a single call.
Continuing to play good players that are having rough games is not the same thing as continuing to double everything when it’s getting slaughtered, and you make a run by playing more straight up.Maybe you haven't seen tj keep faith in his players even through bad times. Its what has made players (Gilbert, Milan earlier, Jaz lastbyear) able to get through their slumps.
Curtis Jones needs to be a starter next season. Momcilovich can come off the bench.
I get what you’re saying, but that’s what makes it so magical. You feel you are a part of something that you not.Sports are dumb. I hate that I get this emotionally invested in something I have no control over.
Continuing to double is what's worked all year and gave us a two seed. The amount of posters in here complaining that tj doesn't change the thing that got us here is absurd.Continuing to play good players that are having rough games is not the same thing as continuing to double everything when it’s getting slaughtered, and you make a run by playing more straight up.
With the ISU seasons usually end. I’m convinced UConn lays an egg Saturday and Illinois skips into the Championship game.
