a head coach with a pretty face and no experience, a top assistant who's a glorified aau coach, an nba intern, and a guy who's best experience is a couple years at Dayton. What do we really expect?

Work in progress.

Scotty needs to be 15-20 minute situational shooter, not PG. You have to have guys in the guard court that play D. That's not him.

I don't understand the choice in defensive game plan with about 55 secs left. We just got it down to 3 and decide to do a soft man-to-man press. We give Drake exactly want they want. Scottie up top guarding their point guard. Not only to they get to burn 30 secs off the clock but they get to blow past Scottie and get an easy layup to put the game away.
Why didn't we put our best defense in at this point? I think we had 5 players to manage last year and we had time to do other stuff than sub. This game looked liker the proverbial cluster ....

Well when you put it like that, it's like we should lose to Drake or something...

Total embarrassment. Drake might win 12 games this year. ISU very lazy on defense
and very selfish on offense - I think I see why CA is no longer at his old school.

Looks like game two CFH will have to make some really tough personal decisions on what happens in non conference or we will play ourselves out of tournament contention fast.

-Scotty C can't play PG and can't defend. Can be effective situationally coming of screens
-Babb, Allen, and White all have pretty bad shot selection
-As a team very few shots taken in any kind of rhythm. Only thing I can think of is McGee had a few nice buckets following some good ball movement
-No attempts to get Ejim involved
-Every time I saw Sledge over on the bench I could tell exactly what he was thinking.
-I love Bubu, but if he is still playing this much in January, we're screwed

Second game of the season with brand new players. It is going to be a long and bumpy road. The expectations where WAY too high coming into this season. These guys are going to be fun to watch when they finally click and learn how to play as a team though!! Stay tough CFH!!

Did CRAZYGREG just tell everyone to calm down? Is this real?

I am much more worried about offense than our defense. We may have a bridge too far. We look way too selfish on offense.

Drake had 2 or 3 guards that could get into the paint anytime they wanted to, and once they did, they knew what to do with it. They either found the open man or they scored it themselves.

We have nobody that can get into the paint at will like that and break down the defense. Scotty gets in there once in a while, and I think he turned it over nearly every time he did.

SCOTTY IS NOT A POINT GUARD FRED!!!!!!!

And what kind of offense are we running? Not one single open 3 pointer all night that I can recall? All were very contested.

So... defensively we couldn't stop Drake from driving right into the lane all night and breaking down our defense... and offensively we have nobody that can break down a defense with the dribble. That's not a good combination folks. And NO... Royce White can't break down people off the dribble either. Yeah, once in a while he can, but usually he's WAY out of control. Most of his charges tonight were in fact charges. He's out of control.

We have a TON of weaknesses. Add to that, it looks like we don't care, and it looks like Fred doesn't care either. I just don't get it? Where's the pride? Do you guys really want to walk around all year knowing that Drake whipped your rear ends? I sure wouldn't. But these guys don't seem to care.

I can't think of one ISU player that played better than any Drake player tonight. And don't give me Royce White. He played with no passion and was schooled on many occassions.

Who else thinks Nebraska probably beat us by 30? I do.

I thought these guys built chemistry last year playing on the scout team ALL YEAR. Just no teamwork at all. Very dissapointing that we can't get SC a shot at all and Simons has open looks all night long. I hope Railey begins to understand the ramifications of his actions. We simply will not win with an offense that revolves around guys taking turns going 1 on 1 from 30 feet out.
