If anyone had told me at the beginning of the year that Atlanta would finish no worse than .500 I would have laughed squarely in their face (and I'm a big Falcons fan). 12 games into the season and now my team can finish no worse than .500 - I have no words that can describe the kind of job Mike Smith has done this year. He likely wins coach of the year (face it - the Falcons were probably supposed to have the worst record in the league this year), Matt Ryan likely wins rookie of the year (some people are already comparing him to Marino in his early years, except with a lot more mobility), and Michael Turner possibly wins the rushing title. Who would have expected this?

I'll admit that the Falcons have done an excellent job in washing off the Mike Vick stink. As a Bucs fan, I would love to have GM McKay back.

I was a pretty big Bucs fan (after they made the color scheme/logo/uniform change) until the NFL realigned the divisions so that the Falcons and Bucs were in the same division (can't fault them - it made sense). Still like the Bucs, but they can't be one of my favorite teams anymore...

Unless the Williams boys get sat down. In which case the Vikes are over... I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I hope it doesn't happen, if it does, good-bye playoffs. The Vikes are starting to play well and could get on a roll, but this is still lingering over the season, the judgement is coming soon.

Definitely want to see Atlanta in the playoffs. Yes, as of right now they are 6th on the list and Dallas is 7th.

But if Atlanta "takes their spot", so be it...

- Falcons deserve it
- Dallas made their own bed by getting killed by the Rams and dropping a game to Arizona.

The Dallas vs. Pittsburgh game will be huge this weekend.

I live in Denver and root against the Broncos. That team kills me. They lose to the Chiefs and Raiders but smoke the Jets in NJ.

Ruling on suspensions is expected today. Common sense says no suspension as the NFL is truly the bad guy in this situation. If they try to impose suspensions, expect an injunction to block it and a huge mess for the NFL to deal with.
