It looks like they are trying to get around copyright laws. If it has the ISU logo on it the atheltic dept would have to aprove it. I doubt Fred would go for something like that.

Right there with you. I love their stuff, but this one did nothing for me. Got excited when I heard on twitter they made a shirt, but then was let down.

Doesn't Iowa State or Fred own the trademark to "The Mayor" as well?

Edit: It looks like Fred Hoiberg owns the rights to "The Mayor" or "Mayor", so it would be interesting to see if they got permission to use this?

I think it'd be awesome if they could get it officially licensed with his face & ISU logo, but as-is no thanks.

That said, I would have loved to see his face if someone came walking up to him at CF's recruiting party wearing this!
