Isnt the Honus Wagner one worth the most out of all cards?

This is an amazing find, because its almost not really a baseball card.

The article was talking about it going for 6 figures, but there is one like it on Ebay for $27,995. Not sure how the conditions compare. She may be better off going a different direction to sell it

I don't think the Honus Wagner is still worth $1 million, but I guess it's worth what people pay for it. Cards have gone down a lot I've noticed. Just recently have gotten back into them after a 10+ year hiatus.

We found an autographed card worth ~ $750 in one of the toy boxes at my parents house. It's corners were all dinged, but the card shop said it was still worth about $175 and prompty offered us $100. It was a baseball card, and we normally collected basketball cards ... so we think it was from some Christmas stocking stuffers when we were little kids.

My brother still has it in a protective case (not that it could get more beat up) his house.

When we moved into our house (100-plus years old), we were told a previous owner used to keep a coin collection in a crawl space behind the bedroom. The owners directly previous to us said they never looked back there, and we haven't yet either...maybe we should.

$100,000 is not even close to the Wagner card. I will check but I heard the best of the bunch is around 3.5 million now.

That Honus Wagner card sold for $2.35 million just over a year ago... so yeah, it's still "worth" more than any other card.

I figured Honus went down with everything else. I remember when Charlie Sheen's Honus got stolen from the Planet Hollywood. The cleaning crew took a photo of it, put it in the card's place and nobody noticed forever.

When I first started collecting cards I looked through my older brother's collection he had when he was a kid. I found a Cal Ripken rookie, Tony Gwynn Rookie, Reggie Jackson, Lou Brock, etc. They all had my brother's autograph on them. Apparently, he decided to run away one day, and put his name on all the cards he wanted to take with him. Only around $1,000 **** up.

Everything else went down because the card companies saturated the market in the late 90's. Nothing is actually rare anymore. Honus Wagner, on the other hand, will always be extremely rare and probably go up in value.

How did that plummet my cards from the 70s, 80s and early 90s then? I think Ebay has a lot to do with it.
