My directv can only record 2 shows at once with the whole home DVR. Also I am about to switch back to mediacom for internet as century link is terrible in my neighborhood. The opposite is true at my office where century link and mediacom internet are on about a equal footing.

Stop messing around and upgrade to the HR34 receiver for your whole home setup. You won't regret it.....it can be recording up to 5 different programs at once while you're watching another.

Century Link sucks here in the newer area of Clive near Waukee. I'm dumping their ***** when my 12 months is up in March. Constantly dropping connection and if there is weather of any kind (wind, rain, drizzle, whatever) it will not connect at all. And it's slow as hell, maxes out at around 2.5mbps. Will be getting Mediacom for internet.

I have Dish today. Am thinking about switching to Mediacom just for the cyclones.tv content (after you Guinea pigs test it for me). Should I do it or keep pluggin in my computer?

I'm glad you are happy with your service but Mediacom does still suck. If you don't think so look at JD Power and Consumer Reports. They are at the bottom nationally in almost every category.
I demand a picture of the 4x4 sign in your yard.

I dumped Mediacom 2 years ago, that last straw was when I had no picture and they told me they would try to get someone out in the next 2 weeks. This, after advertising the ISU bowl game 2 years ago and then finding out right up to game time, just not in my area. I was PO and had had enough. Went to Direct and have the new receiver and can record 5 shows at once.
