Uni guy is wrong as usual

I've said it 25 times in this thread.
Ndsu will ground & pound and right when you start creeping your LB'S & SS up, they'll hit you with a play action shot across the middle.

Ndsu on defense will a Tampa 2, keep your WRS in front of them and get pressure on the QB

God I hope you're right. Vegas sure doesn't agree with you. A team on a 29 game winning streak won't be lacking confidence.

It's actually 24 straight. Which I believe 1 more win sets the longest streak in FCS history.

I have seen a couple lines for this game. I saw ISU -6. ISU -2.5. And then the one with NDSU -3.5.

It should be an exciting game. NDSU will definitely ride their defense as they try and find their way with the new offensive front and QB.

Right it's just that easy. Wally is going to throw stuff at your quarterback that hasn't been on the clipboard he has been holding the last 3 years.

I hope you're right Lakes because this offense we have is coming in strong. We've went against the hardest defensive team in the league (TCU), we've gone against the most explosive team in the league (Baylor) if not the whole BCS. Now I hope your boys bring their A game because they are going to need it. CYCLONE NATION IS HUNGRY!!!!

Is that what they did in 2009 in Ames?

If Richardson has improved this much at quarterback to take the spot from Rohach, NDSU is really going to struggle to stop us. The offense we have has unlimited weapons and a quarterback that can run. Not a single player on the Bison offense would start for Iowa State. And on defense maybe 2, linebacker and safety.

Frazier goes about 5'11" and 220. He has some speed but is like Morlock, between the tackles take on a LB head on and try and power his way for 3-5 yards and if blocking opens up hole Frazier does have a little speed to him. I have heard that they may be looking at more carries for Crockett this year. Which in years past has usually always been a 50-50 split with the backs. I don't think they would go over 60-40 though cause as we have seen the freshness and the split reps has done wonders for our running game.

It's no secret what NDSU will want to do. They will, as always, try and establish the run game. The only issue that I am concerned with as to the opener is how well our OLine comes together. Losing Colville to career ending knee issues and Johnson for season hurts so instead of replacing 2 guys we replace 4. If they are able to get a little bit of push and the Bison can stay ahead of the chains, then its gameplan as usual. Try and wear down ISU defensive line, then in late 3rd or 4th quarter, have the advantage up front. That's what they have done to every team the last 4 years. It's about strength and conditioning. How long will the defensive line for ISU be strong. If your defense struggles to get off the field it will be similar to UNI game last year. Crockett is an equal to or if got a bulk of the carries, which our system doesn't really do, he would have Zenner like numbers and be above David Johnson, but I think Crockett and Johnson are pretty even as the best RB prospects in FCS this season. With all that being said, I am excited to see Wentz play in full game mode. He was highly praised and highly recruited out of HS. He learned from a great leader in Brock Jensen. And everything we have heard from coaches and local media is his arm is stronger then Brock, and he can make some throws that will get your attention. So I am excited about how things come together.

The Bison defense will be as solid as it has been in the past. Best safety tandem in FCS I believe. They both play the run very well. Dudzik has the fastest closing speed on rb's I have seen in years. CJ Smith is a very solid CB. LB's are fast and all return. Littlejohn will be all over the field as usual. I look for Emanual to cause some problems from the DE spot and DT Nate Tanguay should be a stud this year. Can't wait to see him on the field.

1) So our D-line will be worn down in the 4th quarter but your 4 new O-linemen will be fresh as cucumbers? Oook.

2) I have a hard time believing your RB is as good as Johnson, guess we'll find out in a couple weeks.

3) Are you counting players who 'rotated' last year when you say all linebackers return? I thought someone said you lost a couple.. I think your D-line will struggle to get pressure, which will make your new corners struggle.

4) Most (if not all) BCS-contending linebackers won't be able to cover Bibbs, so I don't care how fast yours are. I bet he has >100 yards & a TD.

This game so reminds me of Tulsa last season. They had lost almost their whole offensive line, quarterback but returned a good running back. Everyone on this board was scared of playing them after we lost to them in the bowl game the season before. We thoroughly dominated that game at Tulsa last season by stopping the run and finding out that Green was a backup for 3 years for a reason, similar to what we will see August 30th with Wentz. The line of scrimmage is where ISU will win this game with all 5 returning starters on offense and Cousin, Morrissey, and Jensen all starters last season returning on the defensive line. ISU by 17-20 points in this game.

why is this opinion wrong?

your reply and his opinion share the thought that NDSU will want to run the ball.

What I really find funny about Bison fans is the total disregard of the turnover on both sides of the line. They return 3 of 9 starters on the line of scrimmage. We ISU fans all talk about the loses at DT but Bison fans have no concern over the complete turnover on both sides of the ball at the line of scrimmage. One of their starting DTs is a freshman, how often has that ever happened in Ames in the first game of the year? Farniok is gonna have fun with that kid.

Lakes is an idiot troll. Why are you even asking him? He clearly got his education at NDSU, where they have a massive endowment of $103mil. It's right on par with Harvard as the best school in the nation.

What I find funny is how NONE of the Bison fans address 2009. It's like the NDSU was founded in 2010 and we must have played a different NDSU before that. At the end of the day, they are 0-1 against us, no matter how much they want to claim ISU sucks at football. Until they can prove that they can beat us, they should be a bit more humble and reserved with their BS predictions.

I haven't made any sort of prediction yet. I have an idea of one but will wait. I understand NDSU lost back in 2009. Was 5 years ago and both teams are totally different.

To the point of the ISU defense being worn out in the 4th quarter and NDSU O line fresh, that's not what I said. Something that you will learn during the course of the game and if you watch last years games, is that NDSU has a great strength and conditioning program. I said that is what they try and do, and if they can and your defense is on the field a lot, they will be tired. Making it easier for the O line to get good push and turn 2-4 yard gains quickly into 4-8 yard gains. That's the point I was making. I don't know if NDSU can do it, but I was pointing out that's what they try and do and that's how they have been able to dominate teams over the last 3-4 years. Their time of possession is one of their most important stats next to winning on the score board.

I like this - Tulsa.
Going forward it is the Central University of North Tulsa Bison.

Richardson was better last year when healthy so I don't think he bad to improve that much to better than him this year. He just needed to be healthy.

You mean you are telling me that Your strength and conditioning program is going to beat ours? We have just built a brand new facility with the best weighting lifting/conditioning system in the whole country. No I believe you boys will get tired before our boys do.
