My 2 cents on Taylor's punishment

I'm not on board with cutting Taylor loose. If McDermott wants to make a tough statement, I would suspend him for the first five games of the season. In addition, I would tell him to get a student loan, and I would give Thompson back his scholarship.

This, to me, would be tough, but fair, way to deal with the situation.

i agree, it hasnt been too long since ive been out of college. i know i did some stupid stuff. this for me, isnt that big of a deal. isu needs to evalutae every situation separatly and i would believe this would be pretty minor in the large scheme of things.

I agree 100% with you, SS. People who are calling for a severe punishment or dismissal from the team are going way, way overboard.

This type of thing is pretty much a regular occurrence on any given Fri. or Sat. night in the residence halls or student apartments. I lost count of how many windows were broken by inebriated students my first year in the residence halls. This really isn't a big deal IMO.

How many of them spent a night in jail and were charged with a serious misdemeanor?

Im really hoping we give him another chance. One thing that drives me nuts is when schools get praised for taking second chances on kids after they get in throuble. You know someone is going to get Taylor if we kick him out so i believe we should give him another chance, even if it is some zero tolerance type agreement.
