I love to watch narratives change so quickly, but I also hate how this narrative about our football team has already turned into a culture of losing narrative. The narrative four weeks ago was that we lacked talent/development/retention, and I don't think that's changed.
Think about this...our worst games by far this year have been against UNI and UI -- I guarantee you that they are the coaching staffs that spent the most time analyzing Campbell's Toledo's teams, and they played very well against us.
In the same vein, I think a major reason ISU has played so well against more talented teams the last two weeks is because of great game plans by our coaches and maybe a lack of familiarity on the other side. We haven't lost the 2nd halves because we lack culture, we lost them because great football coaches with great talent slowly figured things out against us.
But no, let's create a narrative that we can talk about for hours on KXNO.
