Last year it says 21 players had 4 techs.

And I think it is very safe to say that we are just dealing with a small sample size here. The rim hang, the loose ball foul, and yelling "Gimmie that" are all questionable. Not that they couldn't be called, but all 3 getting called in one season is pretty ridiculous.

He started every game his first 3 years and had 2 total technicals.

Damn... i was hoping there was some dude out there that was a T machine like that.... I'd make sure to try and watch his games.

Flagrant 1's are not technical fouls. The "punch" on the loose ball scramble was a flagrant 1.

While that might have been a more reasonable call that isn't what they called. They called a deadball technical.

I didn't think you could go to the monitor and call a tech if one wasn't initially called. Maybe I'm remembering it wrong though. Did they call it a T on Melvin right away during the scramble or did they go back and look at it in slow motion?

Don't know but that is what they said. I think you can go to the monitor and call a tech because thats what they do in fights and stuff like that.

Sounds like a decent guy from what you've linked, but I'm sure that award he received is supposed to reflect that he showed class on the court as well (which in multiple instances he clearly did not). Obviously you guys are going to protect Ejim as he is one of your own. That said, he's not getting T'd up just b/c. He obviously has a reputation and that is reason he's getting questionable T's. I'm sure you'd mock any Hawkeye that got an award that was flipping off opposing crowds, constantly whining about calls and getting T'd up frequently. Would you not?

At this point, I think that Hawkeye would be gesturing to his own crowd.
