Also a cubs fan, but of all the teams in the playoffs (AL too) the Phillies are BY FAR the most scary. Should they find a good start out of their 2 and 3 starters....there isn't a team that can beat them.

Honestly, I think every team in the playoffs has a good chance at winning. I'd give the advantage to the AL teams but its hard to pick a winner out of those 4 because they all have very similar records.

But don't count out the NL teams either. Each of those teams have been pressure packed baseball (which is pretty much playoff baseball) for the last 2 weeks. Not true in the AL.

I think the Cubs match up well against the D-backs. And the Phils and Rockies are freaking hot right now. So I really think its anyone's game!

God hates the Cubs.

It's gonna be the Angels.

I think some Cub fans who don't follow baseball are going to be surprised by Brandon Webb tonight. When he's on, he's got some of the sickest movement.

I love it when people hate on the Cubs. It means they did something right.

I think most of it stems from the fans who say that they are Cubs fans, yet couldn't name 20 guys on the 25 man roster. A real fan should have no trouble doing that.

Rockies just scored in the top of the 2nd after a Helton lead off triple.

Some say it might be the best sinker in the history of the game. I'm slightly nervous, but the Cubs don't need that game as much as the D-backs. Cubs have a clear advantage in starters for games 2 and 3....and then 5 if it comes to that.

On a side note, who picked the color guys for TBS? Whoever it is needs to be hit in the head with a tack hammer. These guys are TERRIBLE.

Baseball fans should know exactly who Brandon Webb is. He won the Cy Young last year and may well do it again this year.

Do you think that is any different that all the people walking around wearing Cards hats, Yankees hats, or any other team for that matter?

Wake up, MOST of the people who call themselves fans of a given team, especially a HOT team don't know jack.

Two, I think so. Three, I'm not sure. Hill's been a question mark after his fast start.

Then again, I think it will all come down to bullpens anyways.

My thoughts wander to the Yankees, however I refuse to pick them. I will go with the power, speed, and pitching of the Phillies, Gotta love Jimmy Rollins.

Yeah, except the cubs haven't had the success to justify any of that.

It just bothers me when people say that the Cubs are due. They've had a rash of bad managerial and upper management decisions in past years. I'm not saying that their players don't deserve it, either. It's the fans that will bother me the most if they do anything.

The fact that he's never, ever on tv here will lead to comments tonight of "I've never heard of this Webb guy. Is he good?"

Well, I for one am a life long Cubs fan. I can tell you the current roster, and the roster for a good portion of the teams since I really started paying attention to the Cubs in 1981. I consider myself a good fan, and have never once been cocky or anything else. How could I EVER be a cocky fan, look at my fav teams:

Cyclones
Bears
Cubs

Nuff said.

Hmm.... 20 out of 25 seems like a lot. Let me try this out....

Soriano, Lee, Ramirez, Zambrano, Soto, Jones, Marmol, Hill, Dempster, Kendall, Theriot, Fontenot, Lilly, Howry, Marquis, Eyre, Derosa, Floyd, Wood (almost forgot him)

That's 19. Guess I'm not a real fan. Oh,well.
