Their presser is the definition of a clusterf#!k...it was supposed to start an hour ago...still not going on....the streaming....crashing....good job outta you Mizzou!

Their fans want nothing other than the SEC, their dragging their feet has backed them into a corner. There really seems to be no reason for any other decision than the SEC

So is this presser going to announce whether they are leaving or not? Or just another thing saying they will meet again later to decide?

Nobody knows. Though theyve certainly been in quite the lengthy meeting.

I get a completely different vibe from Missouri fans. Most understand that going to the SEC means no more road trips and bottom-feeding in the standings. The ones that want to leave for the SEC only care about the status of being in that conference.

The worst thing they would say is that they have given rights to explore other conference options.

Of course that throws a big wrench into the hopeful stability of the Big 12 and would likely halt any conference additions until they decide.

You're in KC, so you'd have a better feel for what the average Mizzou supporter feels, but if you check the pulse on Tigerboard it's all SEC. They've been emailing BOC and whoever will listen for at least the last 2 weeks.

Message board people(like ourselves on CF) is a small portion of the fanbase.

Mizzou fans in KC would have to be crazy to want a move to the SEC. I think it's the ones further east that want the move.

Chancellor has authority to explore options for conf. affiliation in the "best interests of the university"

We're out.

Enjoy your new home with your best competition Mississippi State, Kentucky, and Vanderbilt.

Enjoy getting **** pounded by everyone else. Later

There's no doubt the board was going to give Deaton control of the process...that was pretty much a given.

In no way does that mean Mizzou is out...that's just wishful thinking from Mizzoulander. Deaton is just as likely to pressure Texas for as many reforms as possible...and then stay in the Big 12...as he is to go for jumping to the SEC. Deaton has been a pretty good advocate for staying in the conference, so with control of this process in his hands...well, that could very well be a positive thing for holding the conference together.
