Saw on another forum people were having DNS issues.
Change your dns settings to google's DNS (8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4) and that should help (and if not, its generally a better option than mediacom's DNS servers anyways)

Anyone else in DM/WDM area experiencing issues with Mediacom? Can't get through their phone lines but unsure if an outage or their typical response time.
Pretty sure this was widespread. Waterloo also couldn't connect to anything.

For as miserable as their service/support is, they do a good job on the Twitter.
Announcing internet outages on the internet is brilliant.

It sounds dumb at first, but most people have smartphones now that they can check these things on.

Ok. I'm kind of dumb when it comes to this stuff. I was out in CR as well, complained on Twitter and someone responded that I should try the google DNS that you had above. How does that work? Wouldn't I always want to use that number or is it not a free thing? Was a little confused, but it was working, so I used it.
