Unfortunately, I'm not confident that Jameel has learned from this. Tweeting that "one game" tweet in response no doubt to the information that was out there that the suspension was indefinite does not show much maturity or a person how has learned that his behavior needs to change, imho.

I think this team is going to be changed for the rest of the season in terms of who starts, and the rotation. Hopefully, Burton will continue to perform and improve, and some others like Cooke and Ashton will step up more. I have my doubts that McKay will be back in the starting lineup soon, and I think his minutes may be more limited unless he really shows Prohm an adjustment in attitude and performance.

Cooke got into some trouble earlier in the year, and he is still appears be working his way back into the good graces of the coaching staff. It would appear McKay has more work to do than Hallice did.

We have only seen flashes of the Jameel from last year. Hope he gets it together for himself and his teammates. He would be smart to remember...
1. Cyclone fans cheer harder for the guy making the assist or getting on the floor for loose balls.
2. Cyclone fans love the guy who plays his heart out and just does his job.
3. Cyclone fans will be there louder then ever for a comeback story...

Hope he finds a way to contribute, but my attention is on the guys who represent ISU the right way and are busting their butts daily.

It'll be interesting to see what the reaction on here is if we lose today. Jameel may be a head case, but he's helped us win games. There's a good chance that Prohm is sacrificing a win in order to make his point. I hope that everyone is prepared for that.

I'd rather play with players that are all in. If we lose it sucks but at least the players playing today care.

If so, Cooke and Ashton need to steop up and be more aggressive.

No, I think he should do what he thinks he should do. I'm talking strictly about the fan reaction on here if we lose.

I would hope most realize this is a Jameel issue. Hopefully Georges, the captain, will have a talk with him. Just like Gary to Ray in Remember the Titans, " I had you cut Ray." Georges, "I had you suspended Jameel."

Haha, well played...I hope Coach Prohm screams in the huddle at the under 16 timeout, 'I don't want them to score another point! They are going to remember the day they played the Cyclones'!

Re: Not traveling to OSU??

Love it. The alarming thread idea, insider claim, no specifics. Keeping it vague and pretending to be important. This is how you Internet, folks.

Eat crow.... so quick to judge and criticize. Now we learn 8bitnes was right. Do the right thing and apologize.

If I was JM's dad, I'd tell him to find an outdoor, cracked asphalt court with a bent hoop with chain net and practice in the cold while his teammates are playing without him today.
If he actually tweets during the game I'll lose what little respect I have left for him.
It's a big moment in his life, I hope he realizes this.

Way up there
Based on Cooke's situation, how many games will Jameel still be on the bench if he returns? Cooke missed the trip to K state, then didn't play against OU and is just now seeing minutes again. Can Jameel handle that kind of grind to get back in to the rotation?

If he wants back he'd better. Don't think an I'm sorry is going to put him back as a starter.

Uh you know ISU has a pretty nice practice facility that I'm pretty sure players have access to 24/7 right?

Let him come back and be the 6th man like he was last year for most of the season. He can come in off the bench and provide that energy for 15-20 minutes until he can get it together and prove he can be a starter again.

I still think we played better as a team at the beginning of last year before he was eligible. He seemed to change the dynamic of the team a little bit. We were rolling teams early last year with a smaller lineup before he got integrated in the rotation.

I'm surprised we're dealing with issues like this this year, thought we'd have enough leadership from guys like Niang to avoid it. It's pretty ridiculous that a team this talented has issues getting guys to buy in.

I agree and it seems to me we haven't had leadership since Kane and Ejim.

Lol, I think you missed the point of that post. I think the idea was he doesn't deserve to be able to practice in nice facilities yet until he can prove he's all in for his teammates and coaching staff.

I guess but if he wants to actually get better when practicing, doing it on a hoop that's not bent would be a start.
