Wouldn't be surprised. Injuries like that take about 2 years to fully heal. No reason to throw him out there if he's not 100%.

We shouldn't be debating this in August. I am sure the staff hasn't made a decision and the plan all along was to ease him in. He was full go during his time a CCL, sorta of surprised he didn't get minutes in Italy though him needing to go back home thus not practicing with the team leading up to the trip could have contributed to the staff being cautious.
Is it possible? yes but far from a given especially if he looks ready during camp.
