Something to think about for you guys concerned. I do not think Campbell has a good enough resume to get the Ohio state job. I haven't liked a coach this much probably ever, but that is not a resune of an OSU coach. Add in the buyout (which they could pay) and it doesn't seem like it would be worth the risk to a program that can get 99% of all coaches available

Let's say they do want him and hire him. They will not do it until after the season. In my opinion Campbell would habe to win 9-10 cames in order to still make him a too target. If we only win 7-8 nobody is going to be talking about him to OSU. Possibly win the conference. If that happens I will miss him for sure, but he would be leaving us in a place we have never really been.

RE: Campbell would habe to win 9-10 cames in order to still make him a too target.

In 2008, Chizik at Iowa State won their first two games against South Dakota State and Kent State before losing their final 10 games to finish the season 2–10. IN Dec 2008 he was gone.

The Chiz deal was pretty unique though... His connections to Auburn were much deeper than CMC being from Ohio....

Ohio State finished its third day of fall camp on Sunday and moves into its team hotel for the remainder of camp Monday. Is this common for power 5 teams? Cost?

I think Iowa State might be in a hotel.

Yeah, pretty universal for the start of camp. Usually lasts until school starts. Good for team-building to have every one in one place.

But CMC did say in the Fawcast that the biggest "celebrity" in his phone contacts was... Urban Meyer.

Would being connected to Urban Meyer be a good thing or a bad thing if Urban does get canned/retire?

It tOSU is looking to distance themselves from Meyer in the future, they might not want to hire anyone who previously worked for him. Even if he is perceived as a Boy Scout like Campbell.

Who else would Campbell have in his contacts? I'm guessing he doesn't have anything other than family and sports people in there. Oh, and the Nike uniform rep.

P.S. It would have be funny if he has said something like Steve Prohm or Bill Fennelly.
