I just noticed that every time Mario Williams gets a sack they play the Mario theme song. I laughed my butt off when i heard it. Just thought it was hilarious.

Mario was a much better pick then Reggie Bush, the Texans are not getting the praise they deserve for that pick.

Agree. Bush has almost been a bust. If he wasnt so good at catching the ball then he would clearly be a bust.
:dull: No he is a bust. He was the number 2 pick overall and has not come close to putting up number 2 overall pick stats. The only thing he is really good at is returning. Other than that he is a spot duty backup RB/WR. Not worthy of where he was drafted.

If Reggie bush wasn't so good at catching and returning and he wasn't spectacularly fast, and he didn't have game-changing ability- he would most certainly be a bust. Oh wait...

I'd agree. They took a lot of heat for passing on Bush, but they got the better pick. Not saying I don't like Bush or he was a bad pick, but Williams has been great. They should get some credit for their foresight.

I wouldn't call Reggie Bush a bust. He plays on a team that uses all sorts of weapons and have been really good with it. Things would be a lot different if he went to a team that was going to make him the featured back right away, but they aren't.

I'd also rather be a "Bust" as you guys are calling him on a team that has been very good since he entered the league than be a standout on a crappy team like the Texans since he joined them.

how many games has he really changed? If by "changed" you mean "got tackled for a loss," then you might have something.

Bush has had some stellar moments, but they are far too few and far between for him to be labeled anything other than mediocre.

Reggie Bush has benefited from an incredible PR campaign. The guy was never a full time starter in college and may not have even been the best running back on his team.

Mario Williams was hands-down the better pick.

How about the way the Texans did business with that pick as well. If they would have taken Bush, they probably would have had to pay more than they did. Instead they reach an agreement with Williams prior to the draft that doesn't break their bank, and ensure the first rounder is ready to practice from day one.

This. I said countless times, while the Texans got trashed for their pick - they would come out as the "winner" in that one. The Saints are a far better team than the Texans, but it has very little to do with Bush.

I have nothing against him at all, would love to see some of his electric plays from college come out on Sundays. But he's no longer able to just run away from people - the NFL game is just that much faster than college.

And, his shelf life won't be longer than Williams, I'd bet on that.

Exactly. His rookie contract is going to be coming up here fairly soon, I believe. Are the Saints really going to pay top dollar for a 3rd string running back? It just isn't done. He'll either have to take a pay cut, or go play somewhere else. Williams, on the other hand, will sign a big contract and be one of the higher paid DE's in the league.
