I've been to the Ames BMP and that was not the inside of the one here. The one shown was more like a hallway vs. whats up here. I've never been to the Ankeny one but it had to be that one.

Didn't the Register say he was in the Ankeny location when the story came out?
Also, I could think of many different places in Des Moines or better food choices then what he did.
Not a very good representation of the food in the area.
Might want to know your facts before you stick your foot in your mouth next time...that was most definitely the Ankeny location before it closed so that the owner could focus on the Ames location:biggrin::biggrin:
He most definitely said he was in Ames. I've never been to either, so I don't know which one he was at. But he did say he was in Ames.
The time limit was what did him in. This guy took on the Big Texan 72oz steak (plus tater, salad, shrimp cocktail, and roll) in about half an hour or so. He can consume a large volume of food, but a short time limit is killer!
I would have liked to see the B&B Quadzilla, or some mention of south side Italian.
That said, Jethro's is absolutely fantastic, and High Life has a unique menu done very well. Their new High Life Man burger with a beef patty, Graziano patty, bacon and pepperjack is amazing. I've never had BMP, so I can't comment on that. You got 3 places to go in a city teeming with great food. Can't please everyone.

Then you should call MVF and let them know. I even went back and made sure that they said Ames.
