First you get the coach, then you get the style, then you get the trophies, then you get to the dance for 3 years straight, then you get to the Sweet 16 multiple times, then you get the recruits. I don't know why so many people freak out about not landing all of the top HS talent we're after. Realistically "at some point" is like 10 years in to a tenure of a coach, not 5 years to land the 5 star guys. Fred has us punching above our weight right now in recruiting imo. We've got 4 top 100 guys that came to us straight out of HS on the team right now. That's fairly impressive to me and solid progress.

Agreed. NO ONE gets all the top recruits they're after. You go after ten and pray you get one.

My post was only in relation to the thought we are somehow a big boy in recruiting. We aren't, at least not when it comes to blue chip recruits. Im not freaking out about it. Fred has done a great job filling the roster with talent through other avenues.

Aaron White would have been a 5* recruit if he hadn't have committed to Iowa so early so he's a 5* now. Woodberry also rated 5* because Woy Williams recruited him only 5* gets recruited by Coach Tanning Bed.

I wouldn't necessarily say that Iowa got him. There are still plenty of things that could happen before fall of 2017 like Fran getting fired or - more likely - having an aneurysm during one of his courtside fits.
