Noticed In-state rivals and Politics/Religion/GW threads are popping up on the main forum. Doesn't bother me since I frequent those forums as well but thought I drop a note about it.

I read the politics forums too, but it is nice to keep the cave in the cave. I don't mind the rivals forum so much, but it would be nice to put politics back in the cave.

I have not opted to see the cave, and I'm still seeing them.

I checked my CP, and found the setting... somehow it got set so that I was in the group. Apparently I opted in without my knowledge or consent.

Actually, this is kind of a cool change. Now if you're in the politics forum you dont have to go to another page just to view the threads. Now we need to add groups for other forums (make them opt-in by default) so you can choose to remove them from the front page. I know id opt out of the pro sports forum for most of the year..

I like it. If you had to "opt-in" for each forum, I think you just thought up the quickest way to make it so everyone can have that "custom front page" they want.

Just make sure you're opted-out of the forums you don't want to see and you've got it. One could have a front page of Instate Rivals, Politcs and Off topic, while another could have only ISU sports, etc...

Man, never read much on the political forums until they were shoved in our faces the last day or so.

Hard to believe that people are such morons that they believe one side is so much better than the other, when in actuality - they resemble each other.

Kinda makes taking a side look like a position of weakness instead of thinking for one's self.

I'd love to see a day where each user on CF could customize a 'main' page with modules of what ever they wanted.

Looks like someone got "roofied" into the cave. These are dangerous times.

Is there a setting where I can alter my settings so that I don't have to see the religion/politics posts? I know...don't click on them...but I really enjoyed not having to see them at all like it was in the past!

Are you talking about the battle for the Cy-Hawk trophy or politics?

So...there is not a way to turn off the "politics/religion" threads? Asked earlier...I guess I was hoping a moderator would let me know how to do this...or at least say "sorry, we are going to leave them up on the main forum page for the following reason...".

I know we discuss a variety of topics on this site...from sports to entertainment and beyond...but it isn't fun to see some of the titles in the politics/religion forum because one of the reasons I come to this site is to escape from those real world issues.

Just my thought...hope I am not offending anyone!

Go to your Cpanel and click on "group memberships". Should be an option to remove membership to P/R/GW. I read those threads on occasionally but had to remove membership because I didn't want them on my main board.

Question for a Mod: Will the In-state Rivals threads be hidden again after this week?
