I still believe most seeding is done by Friday or Saturday morning.
As of a couple of hours ago, they were already done through the #9 lines according to the selection chair. #10-12 were next up.

So kind of tells you Wisconsin and Maryland results today don't matter. As of a couple of hours ago, they were already done through the #9 lines according to the selection chair. #10-12 were next up.
The espn bracket now shows us with a sweet 16 matchup against Auburn. Sweet 16 is looking like TJs legacy.
I concur, but have zero faith in the committee being guided by anything approaching principles.Still betting on a 3 if the committee has any consistency whatsoever. We're clearly better than the other options when you take into account the key missed starts throughout the last monmonthi quite
No, updated yesterday, the matrix says when its updatedupdated since the Wisconsin win? Highly doubt that. but yes they suck![]()
I wouldn't worry too much about it. We suffered a lot of injuries this year. "Incredibly disappointing" seems a bit harsh given all our injuries. We still got a 4 seed for ***** sake. Put yourself in the shoes after the final Steve Prohm year or McDermott. Got to beat good teams regardless if you're a three or a four seed. The tournament is a crapshoot and let's hope it's our time finally for the really deep run. We all know this team has the ability to do it.Incredibly disappointing considering where were once at
That’s fair.I concur, but have zero faith in the committee being guided by anything approaching principles.
Right. So when they all update again we aren’t gonna be a 3 in as many. Wisconsin’s win will bump them up on a lot.No, updated yesterday, the matrix says when its updated

I assume it's all mostly done. Not the seeding, but the full seed line, 1-68. Where changes could come is if 2 teams are so close, 1 more game could affect it. If it's a 9-10 swap, no one notices. If it's a 12-13, everyone will lose their ****.I still believe most seeding is done by Friday or Saturday morning.
After reading this, it seems to be a lengthy process. And also kind of gives an insight why tournaments don't have to much weight. Once you get the framework set up it's pretty hard to plug things in as ripple effect would be pretty big. They have to build the brackets after creating a seed list.

They also have an SEC problem they are going to have to try and avoid match ups with so many teams. There will be at minimum 3 SEC teams in each region and possibly 4.As of a couple of hours ago, they were already done through the #9 lines according to the selection chair. #10-12 were next up.
The committee will give weight to whatever justifies what the committee wants to do.Wait, I thought the committee gave no weight to the conference tournament last year? Are they looking at conference tournaments this year now?
There's no way A& M will be a 2. The rest is plausible.I assume it's all mostly done. Not the seeding, but the full seed line, 1-68. Where changes could come is if 2 teams are so close, 1 more game could affect it. If it's a 9-10 swap, no one notices. If it's a 12-13, everyone will lose their ****.
There will likely be a few surprises I think. Wild predictions:
St. John's will be a 3 or 4 seed.
Iowa State will be ahead of Texas Tech
Texas A&M the last 2 seed
Kentucky a 4 seed
Arizona a 3 seed
Wisconsin is playing better basketball than we are right now. Facts.
Ehhh... last Saturday they lost to a terrible penn st team at home.Wisconsin is playing better basketball than we are right now. Facts.
WrongI despise the Luardi pimping by ESPN during Dec/Jan. So don't pay any attention and mute TV when he's on. Why some fans get so focused on seeding, amazes me.
Putting ISU at a 4 seed is probably right. And it wouldn't have been surprised by a 5 seed depending how the committee seeded Clemson & Memphis.
The Clones finished 5th in the Big12 regular season. And we lost twice in the season to the Big12 4th place team BYU. So we should be 5th in the Big12 pecking order.
I would expect these schools to be seeded higher than ISU:
The other reality is we were bascially a .500 team the last couple months. So it's not like we had a strong finish to push for a 3 seed.
- Big 12 (4): Houston, TT, Arizona, BYU
- SEC (4): Auburn, Tennessee, Florida, Alabama
- Big 10 (4): MSU, Michigan, Maryland & Wisconsin (good Tournament)
- ACC (2): Duke & Louisville
- Big East (1): St Johns
