If we can get healthy it will definitely be our best sixth man since Tyrus whomever it is.

THe way THT is coming on, I don't see him coming out of the lineup. Haliburton will eventually come off the bench. Wigginton will be an instant starter when he's healthy.

Lard will really have to earn it, IMO.

Talley will be a bench/energy guy.

Lewis and Zion will see their minutes drop to near zero when everyone's back.

It will be interesting to see what happens when Solo is back.

When/if we're at full strength the lineups will be endless and we can play big or small to suit matchups. We have the depth so that foul trouble and OT games shouldn't be a concern.

Jacobson is good enough to start - but strange as it sounds, I would like to see how he would be off bench - big time spark and instant energy. Could be the Big 12 sixth man of the year. So, try a few games with Lard - Solo starting the big line up.

This is exactly right. Jacobson, being an energy/effort guy, is going to be more valuable with 15-20 minutes than with 30+.

You really just have to see if Lard and Jacobsen can be effective playing together and go from there. Throw in Young once he’s back.

Here is my order of importance - Wiggi, Lard, Jake, Babb, THT, Shayok, Solo, Talley, Halliburton, Condit, Lewis, Griffin. I think we have enough depth , length, and quickness to use a press effectively.

That aint happening..

Prohm feels this team is far better at small ball and running the floor...Now vs big teams at times I can def see Jacobson and lard at same time sure.

THT is too talented to not start.

I think Lard and Talley will have to earn their minutes when they come back. I don't think either will start. Effort and attitude will need to be on par with the guys playing now. When we get everyone back, we will have enough quality depth that CSP won't have to play anyone who doesn't put the team before themselves.

IF Young is healthy, I think he splits minutes with Lard in the post. If others are scoring adequately, Young plays for the defensive presence. If offense lags, Lard plays more. Jacobson at the 4, with Talley getting minutes. (Lard and Young seldom in the game together.)
Weiler-Babb, Wigginton play point and SG, with Haliburton in whenever either of those two goes out. That leaves Shayok and THT sharing the SF position, understanding that they will be in the game a lot together, either at 4 or SG, based on matchups, game flow, foul trouble, etc.
Lewis, Griffin, Conditt minutes drastically reduced as the season goes on.
(One man's opinion.)

I’m definitely starting to see the possibilities of Jacobson as a stretch 4. His all around game has been very impressive.

Yes I agree. The people saying Lard and Jacobson can’t play together are wrong. Jacobson can spread the floor enough so I see no problem with playing both at the same time.

Young and Lard did fine together last year.

No reason to think we can’t use Jacobson with one of the other two.

Yeah, he can put the ball on the floor and shoot from distance. Probably don’t want him shooting 8 threes a game, but 2 or 3 would be fine with me.

I just don't see how you take 16 points and 7 rebounds out of the starting lineup. This isn't a Percy Gibson like scenario where the guy is benefiting from dump offs from better players around him to score his points from point blank. He's creating for himself, he's spacing the floor, he's rebounding, he's defending, he's doing it all and he's doing it efficiently. I don't expect him to sustain 16 points a game but I feel he's earned his spot for the time being. Make Lard earn it back.

Yeah, I agree he’s won that spot. I’m just more curious if a lineup with Jake and Lard together would be more effective than a lineup with one of them at a time. Our guards seem to be really good rebounders, and nobody can score in the post anymore so it really doesn’t hurt that much to play a more skilled guard at the 4 instead of playing two bigs.

It's tough to take Jacobsen off the floor. The only real knock on him is his inability to body up against a big man. Lard and Solo are solid enough to not get backed down and can reduce the amount of double-teams that we need to use.

I'd like to see Lard and Jacobsen on the floor at the same time. I think it would help our inside-out game a little more too.

If Jaco continues as he has been so far this season, it's going to be hard to keep him off the floor. He can run and score. Furthermore, there seems to be a little Niang to his game with better defense and athleticism.

Michael Jacobson should 100% start instead of Lard. Sorry Cam, love your game, but when the next man in plays like that, you lose your spot. He'll make a good 6th man.

LW
NWB
Shayok
THT
Jacobson

That's your lineup come January, February, March until it doesn't work.

I think your top 5 plus Lard are going to be the 6 player who get by far the most minutes with Halli, Talley and Young (if healthy), Conditt (if not) filling in gaps.

I'm really looking forward to Jaco and Lard on the floor at the same time. Lard's energy and physicality down low should free up Jaco to run, score, facilitate opportunities for other players along with some duty on the defensive glass and post. Combine those two with 3 hottest hands of LW/NWB/Shayok/THT on a given night....oh, man #thrills!
