My favorite tornado logo isn't even one we created. I really like the animated CY-Tornado that they show on ESPN when they talk about Iowa State. Couldn't find an image, gif, or video of it though.

Do you mean the ESPNU logos? Like for every team, they change the "U" into something mascot related? Most of those are pretty cool, but I dunno about the Iowa State one. It definitely is a cardinal, though ...http://i338.photobucket.com/user/cyclonefan_1/media/Mobile Uploads/0119012153a.jpg.html?t=1295589360

There's still an official twirly bird secondary logo that doesn't have any wording.

I think that was dropped a couple years after it came out. I don't think there is any official swirly bird cy any longer. I'm sure someone can confirm.

Here try this video - if I can get it to work. ISU is about the fourth one.

This is no longer a secondary logo. It has been retired and will eventually be a part of the Vintage Collection. It was replaced by these two logos.

Always hated that barrell-chested Cy. Too much like Bucky Badger. The Cy head with the whirling oval has grown on me some thought.

The thing that is nice is it is INFINITELY easier to find stuff with the Vintage logos on it now that it was 5 years ago. Maybe even just two years ago.

It's all over the place, so I usually buy the Vintage, which makes me not care so much that the new ones aren't my thing.

While I was creating a mock vintage Cyclone logo for the 1920s, I was pondering this... ISU received the Cyclones nickname in 1895 and up until this year has had just two official logos that featured a Cyclone. Of course, we have the 1984 version:

And the swirly bird logo that was replaced by I STATE:

It's just a matter of time before ISU comes out with another logo that features an actual cyclone. I know there have been quite a few pseudo-official Cyclone logos. I remember the unique cyclone design for the gymnastics team around 2007:

I know there's more out there--share them if you got them!

Give me back the 84 version for hoops. It sorta looks like a ball just swished through a net. It's perfect for the Hoiberg era.

love love love this logo. i want it on helmets, jerseys, and my ankle. i like it better than I-State.

I've never really warmed to this logo, but I admit that I was very partial to the "punching Cy" with the updated color scheme and was mad when that got ditched as the secondary logo. Still, it's 100% better than the puffed out chest CY logo.
