Yes but was he recruited by other BCS schools? If not, we do not want him because it is all about the stars and other BCS schools........

Awesome, he is now a way better prospect than he was yesterday!

OK, in all seriousness, I like it though as it makes our class look better, which does matter to some prospective recruits.

Unfortunately, we're still pretty far behind most of the rest of the conference, at least according to Rivals' rating.

OMGSTARS.

Seriously, where's CloneINOregon?

I'll act a s a surrogate CloneINOregon:

"He still doesn't have any other BCS offers!"

Seriously though, it is awesome that he is getting some love from Rivals. Rivals obviously hadn't heard of him and just got around to reviewing his tape and giving him a rating.

We don't have a player that's unevaluated. Miller got his 2 stars. We are now sitting at 2.65 as an average. It means nothing but perception to thos ewho pay attention to that stuff has incresed greatly over the last month. I think the thing that stands out to me is that the guys who are rated very low are from a small town in Iowa, they are rated at a position they won't play, or they are a huge project. We don't have a bunch of 2 star QBs or 2 star recievers or 2 star LBers. We have guys that were at some sort of disadvantage in terms of where they are in development and never had a shot to be a highly rated prospect. Of course, I am spinning this class right now but I see a lot of potential in most of these guys.

Potential is the most important thing. ISU isn't going to get guys very often that will show up and be difference makers right away. Hell... even Iowa has the same issue. I trust the staff to find guys with potential and to develop them into solid players. I think they can and I think they will.

and brock dagel is #6 in iowa, yet only 2 stars while lemke is a 3 star not in iowa top 10. it makes no sense.

also, all of our 2 star guys are 5.4 which means they are on the edge of being 3 stars anyways. i'd be surprised if ecby, irving, and sam richardson(cb) aren't 3 stars by signing day.

SWEET! A 3* DL that should make some people happy. The staff is proofing again they are bringing the right kids in here. On top of it all he has the frame to put enough weight on to move inside also.

I remember something being said that he wanted to try being a TE. Anyone remember?

He will start as a TE. I still believe he will move to DE and Daniels will move to TE eventually. Perhaps that could be opposite but there's something about quality wrestlers that translates to some success at DE/DT. They just have the instincts, especially regarding their hands that make them more effective. I wish he would just start at DE but you have to give kids the opportunity if at all possible, to do what they want. The way we use the tight end, I would like to see a HS one in this class, but I kind of thought it would end up being Daniels.
