Is the legends space still vacant? Wonder if DoR will use that.

What happened to the idea of having a CF lounge in the former Legends spot? CW, you missed your opportunity.

Re: Legacy to become apart of the dorm system!

Honestly imo its a smart move by the property owners (of Legacy), the university will fix up the inside of the building and be able to control things much better than they can. Sucks for kids wanting to rage and party but a smart move for both parties imo.

Whenever I think of Legacy I think of Jared Homan randomly crashing a party I was at. He made out with some dude's girlfriend, went outside and threw all the chairs off the balcony and then just left. Great night.

Not to derail this too much, but I saw this on the link in the OP

[h=2]Schilletter and University Village (SUV)[/h]SUV offers two bedroom apartments and is located on the north end of campus near Veenker Memorial Golf Course. University Village offers housing for single student and mixed-gender roommate pairs and Schilletter Village is home to families.

I don't believe this was the case when I was in school. I do not believe my wife and I (fiance at the time) had the opportunity to house together in university housing. Did this change recently (in the last 10 years or so)? In retrospect, we should have JP'd the marriage while in school to take advantage of all the benefits and then just had the wedding later on.

They've basically made that the family option apartments.

I worked maintenance out there in 2007-2009. It has been an option since at least then but the caveat was you cannot just randomly sign up with the opposite gender. If you had the pairing set up already you could move in as that. That said, I only remember about 15 of the apartments being in that situation and MANY of those were internationals/study abroads

damn i wish they offered this in 2009. got wrote up for having booze in my dorm room/ shower like 4 times. would be so easy in legacy.

I think you are missing the point, Legacy will be treated just like Freddy Court meaning that no freshmen can live there unless they are 19.

The point is to provide more space for continuing students to live that have contracted for an additional year, so that the new freshmen will have enough space in the on-campus dorms.

I'm sure the CA's in legacy won't be any more lenient.

I think his point was that hiding booze is a lot easier in Legacy's apartments than in a dorm room. Cabinets, closets, nooks & crannies galore in Legacy.
