It's brutal but especially during this patio tour.
Yeah....never enjoyed it before and as the other poster said, played out/tired bit. I just assume kind of a "friends taking care of friends" type of deal. Actually watching the TV news and seeing young reporters in DSM got me thinking how they crack into the "in" group that appears to be in local media

Testifying
Did Sean say if he's going to continue to be on the radio, or is this basically just a bunch of more responsibilities thrown onto him?

I thought I heard them drop the big D on the air Friday. I was expecting cuts, not promotions.

I thought I remember on one of the podcasts that some of the departed from there (Murphy/Andy maybe? Or even CW?) that essentially that's what happened to Downs.....more and more to do, but not pay to go with it. I might be misremembering, but I thought maybe it was Murphy that said that.

They’ve all said that, I think

What exactly does a program director do on that station?

I believe they manage staff (there are typically some part-timers and board ops for Wild games and Barnstormers programming), make sure the station stays on the air (if there's any silence, they are notified), make sure all timeslots are filled with programming/ads, etc. I'm sure there's a lot I don't know, but I've been around radio people long enough to feel like these are some of the basic functions.
