I used to defend Heather here, especially after what happened with Ken Miller when he bailed on her before they even got their show going but over the past couple years I don't really care for her anymore. There are times where a story has been out there for days and she will act like it is breaking news or the first time she has heard about it. Not to mention when they lack content the go-to is "let's read some random tweets on the KXNO feed to use up some time." That and she kind of has a negative or snobby attitude on the air at times too. Hell I would rather listen to her husband 5 days a week than her at this point.
It got really old listening to them constantly try to make fun of Sean's intelligence. I know it was a schtick, but it became old and dumb real fast.
Great post. That used to be so cringe as I recall that awkward publically commenting on who he should date (especially when those folks were not single).
Like many have said, I've not had on KXNO now for about a year and haven't looked back.
And as others have said, no interest in hearing gambling takes.

usually would interupt Sean's legit/knowledgable take with something literally that may be a fake twitter or message board thread "What are you talking about Sean? You do know that Joshua Jefferson is leaving ISU for LSU, right?" (made up quote, but could hear her saying that this week, lol)
Yea, but I feel like he only talks about them because he gets asked about it by Heather.
Honestly I don’t know if it’s gotten any better because as soon as I hear her voice I turn the radio. So if someone can vouch for it getting better, I’ll give it a shot.
You guys in central Iowa might actually be lucky….. all we have in e Iowa is kgym. Todd Bummblefuk is a GD idiot suckeye , his entire show 6-9am is all suckeye….no sports , just suckeye drivel . Afternoons are similar….Scott Unash is a little less annoying….but they’re all just anti cyclones all the time.
I thought the kxno shows are simulcast on some radio station in eastern iowa? Maybe that’s no longer the case.
It always came off as Travis/Ross trying to live vicariously through Sean because of how ugly and disgusting they both are. The questions Travis would ask Sean were wildly inappropriate in person, let along on the radio. Asking him to literally spill his guts about every aspect of a date he went on and to describe the girl in detail.
But hey, did you know Travis goes to Italy all the time? Like, he's practically a citizen of Italy because of how often he goes to Italy. He's also super successful and knows John Higgins and practically everyone who is important at Nebraska. Also, he goes to Italy a lot.

Remember a few years ago when Todd whined and whined about the Iowa State SID who couldn't get him last minute credentials to the Sweet 16? All because Todd thought Iowa State would lose early and didn't bother to apply before the tournament. It was beautiful.

It wasn't just Sean either, pretty sure they tried this with Justin Miller a bit too. I finally remembered who the gal was at 13 before Amber, it was Arielle Nixon. She started the trend of the young females at 13 that Travis was able to get to do a segment once in awhile, it started with her then I think Amber might have been on a few times. Courtney Johns was on pretty regularly then Maria Lisignoli was the last one which really turned me off how creepy Travis was getting trying to get her and Sean to hook up knowing she already had a boyfriend. Before Courtney left the market she did one last segment with Travis and Ross and of course her dating life came up. She mentioned that she usually gave most guys at least 1 date if they had the courage to ask her. That got Ross all wound up like a giggling school boy, "you mean if I was single (pretty sure he was still married at the time) and I asked you out on a date I'd have a chance with you!?" She basically explained unless something seemed off with someone asking her out on a date she usually gave everyone that asked her 1 date and if it went well then maybe they got another date otherwise she would tell them there wouldn't be a 2nd date. You can only imagine the can of worms that opened up for Beavis and Butthead to start asking more sketchy questions.
That's not even scratching the surface of the crap you had to turn the station if you had kids in the car when Travis started talking about stuff like "Google Hope Solo naked" or just any random person he Google searched for nudes or talking about topics related to the adult film industry. For 2 married guys they sure talked a lot of smut and inappropriate things at times on their radio show. I think Travis has always tried to shoot more for the shock jock type radio than actual substance. I liked Ross a lot better when he did the show with CW. Ross is like a different person when he is with Travis compared to when he did the show with CW.
*1 married guy. Seems as though Ross's ****** ways caught up to him.
It’s gotten even worse now that it’s the offseason for the local college sports teams. It’s more reading tweets, relying on Lucas for his NBA/ MLB and offseason college/NFL takes, some of which that he has clearly gleaned from Trent Condon as it’s no coincidence of their similarity. Followed up with a few stories she hasn’t done much homework on because of the lack confidence and conviction in which she’s talking about or reading them off the computer. The only saving grace to the show is the Ask 5-0 segment.
And if all else fails, the Eikster can come on the air multiple times per week to polish the Iowa knob.
One thing hasn’t changed. I enjoy M&A all week until Sipker comes on on Friday. That act was played out 5 years ago. When he shows up I’m done until Monday.
