I heard the end of today and was a bit surprised he's walking away. To not tell Sean before hand is pretty classless. You could have told him during a break on the 6 o'clock hour at a minimum.
I think it was perfect. Kind of sums him up and the "work" he has done on air in this market. Narcissist, bully, confrontational, shock jock and just genuinely an ass.

This. I think you have to let him know. His job future could be on the line with the way IHeart is these days. I wonder when Sean switched from afternoons to mornings if it was his choice or he was forced to do it by management?

Just 10 minutes ago coming out of the break. Said he wanted to go out on his own terms and not like the others.
They carry this over here in Eastern Iowa on 95.7. They follow it up at 8:00am with The Dan Patrick Show. I actually laughed out loud on my way to work. He was in the process of saying good bye and farewell when...boom cold cut off and onto the Dan Patrick Show.

Unfortunately, I can't share much without giving away my identity. And after being doxxed on a previous sports board for disagreeing with a dude bro, I'm not eager for people here to know who I am.

Or since he and Sean have been at KXNO for nearly all of Sean's career there it still tough to hear it said out loud over the air. To a point, I think Travis has been a little bit of a father figure for Sean at the station.

I mean, he told Sean straight up sorry for not giving you a heads up. So yea, Sean had no idea.

Sean is really good. Knowledgeable in multiple areas without dragging every sports conversation into sports betting talk. I'm not a huge baseball fan anymore, but I follow enough that I enjoy hearing his thoughts on baseball. He's unfortunately been dragged down by co-hosts in the past. I don't know what Travis leaving means for Sean, but he definitely has a spot in sports talk.

I'm kind of shocked these IHeart guys don't have non-competes.

When you are fired/laid off the non-compete is probably null and void at that point. Murph and Andy were not iHeart employees and I am guessing since they already axed the local talent once that they probably would be fine saving some money if they left on their own. Travis may not want to do radio or media right now either hence the decision to leave. We'll find out sooner or later I guess but with everything else he has going on in his life outside of KXNO I don't see it being a priority of his to get back to doing daily radio shows or podcasts. He has a full time job during the day, this always seemed like a hobby for him I think.

He's already announced he's starting a podcast Monday..

Sean and Stanz or Sean and Emery would’ve been a good show.
