He's already announced he's starting a podcast Monday..
Sean has to be questioning their relationship haha

How long did he do a show with Travis, close to 10 years?

In the span of an hour he finds out Travis is bailing on their show, and already had another show lined up with Ross lol

Agree! I would assume it's not on IE as IE hasn't been mentioned in any of the posts about this new podcast, would think that'd be an easy/important detail to include.

Also, IE would be promoting it. And I've seen nothing.

Guessing the only local show on KXNO will be M&C before long.

I hope Sean is smart enough to see the writing on the wall and starts looking for other opportunities. Heather always seems to find another local gig when she's been let go and she's doing real estate now on the side too so I doubt she'd be hurting too much especially as long as she has been at this and her husband has a pretty good gig too. Sean on the other hand quit his regular job for this when they "promoted" him to the afternoon show only to send him back to be on the morning show not long after and other than his emcee stuff with Drake basketball so I don't know what else he has to fall back on.

M&C buy their air time and I think you are right they may be the only ones left unless someone else comes in and buys air time on KXNO too. This is just my speculation/guess but I bet they move Sean back to the afternoon and just do Dan Patick in the AM now that Travis is gone. Who is left at KXNO that they can shuffle the chairs on the Titanic again to fill the roll as Heather and Lucas are pretty much it I think. And I doubt iHeart is interested in backfilling anyone that leaves at this point with someone new.

Besides going back to working banking, what are other opportunities? No other radio stations are knocking on the door

I was listening at the time and was surprised, especially since he did not tell Sean beforehand. I don't blame him for going out on his own terms, I think the writing is on the wall for local programming at KXNO and it will be interesting if they find someone to pair with Sean or just move him back to the afternoons and kill the morning show altogether now. I kinda figure that iHeart is hoping the hosts just leave on their own now so they don't have to lay them off.

Travis will be fine, the radio show is really more of a hobby to him as he has a regular job during the day. Guessing between that, all the travel he does, and his family not doing radio probably would free him up to focus on those things more. Would not be shocked if he winds up as an occasional guest on Iowa Everywhere but it would suprise me if he is part of a regular show or podcast given his other commitments.
He called in all the time when on vacation to do the show. He also would have shows on holidays when they could've easily been off the air. Idk, seemed like something that was more than a hobby.

And seeing that Travis and Ross have a new show and it's starting Monday...Travis didn't tell anyone so that others didn't get in trouble. Obviously to have a graphic ready and launching Monday, this was in the works for a while. Good for them.

When you're starting up a business that directly competes with where you're currently employed, the last thing you do is tell people at your current job. This isn't hard to understand.

The more and more Williams talks about the value of local media and it being owned locally, he just keeps building and building that case. Congrats on him seeing this opportunity and taking the chance to do it. IE has really grown. No wonder he's always thinking of how to evolve the company for the future. IHeart and KXNO have been mismanaged since they Fired everyone the first time. Sad really to see good content go but glad it opened up other doors.

Per the Register:
They eventually came up with an idea. Peterson and Justice will be back together Monday on a new platform when they debut their live streaming sports show “The Rush,” The show will be streamed on YouTube, X/Twitter, Facebook and other social media platforms from 6-8 a.m. Monday through Friday.
That's real ****** of both Ross and Travis to plan this then just drop it on Sean. For two guys who have called Sean a "friend" on air, this isn't something friends do.

I’m always amazed at the hate local radio hosts get and the reasons why. I enjoy all the shows, minus Condon and Miller. I enjoy the sports is secondary on a sports station. All miller and condos talk about is is gambling. Certainly all better than national radio.
