There are a lot of things you can say about this year's Iowa State team, but "boring to watch" is not one of them.
It is if you are a hawkeye loyalist and when your team is not doing so well it makes our games even harder for them
If Iowa State Basketball is boring, then Iowa Basketball is cruel and unusual punishment
Oh come on. Scoring 90 and losing is terrific!

Thursday Morning (after ISU's stomping of KU),
They spent the entire 1st hour talking about ISU's game.
Pumping up players, Hilton was rocking (even without most students),
Very complimentary and positive! Discussed future schedule, seedings, etc....
I have often bashed the show for lack of ISU talk (being Hawk & Husker homers.
).
But, Thur AM was great!

Nope only a golden domer and White sox. Well probably not even a Sox homer anymore.
Shawn was saying the team is boring in a tongue and cheek sort of way. He was essentially saying that they are beating teams by dominating them that it is "boring" lol. All the shows are super complimentary of how good the team is.
Travis will tell you he's a big Hawk fan, but similarly to Ross, his actual knowledge of Iowa Hawkeye athletics is pretty minimal. Nebraska football, dude could go on for hours about them...and how he's friends with Higgins...and how he takes trips to Italy. Dude sure loves himself.
And he's not wrong. Alot of our games have been kind of boring in the best kind of way. The Baylor game comes to mind where there weren't a ton of memorable moments or runs. Just a gradual and steady domination.
Absolutely. I've had the thought a few times. I'm not mad about it by any stretch, but this team has (for the most part) been so much better that you're never really that wound up.
Christ, even the KU game got to this point.
People have made comments that Hilton doesn't seem as juiced this year, during the Baylor game it was brought up a lot.
The team has generally handled teams and if we're being honest, most fans aren't worried about the team's capabilities. Watching on TV it seems the crowd gets into it when needed, but that's the kicker. This team doesn't need it as much.
I think the Marquette game is a good example. Top 5 team coming into Hilton and there was never a sense that we were going to lose. The crowd was loud at times, but the team handled the opponent without needing a boost from the crowd.
This coming from a White Sox fan. Talk about the most boring sports team to watch. They're are always good for a nap in the summer.
