So, I'm guessing KXNO is mad as heck as pretty much all traces of Ken's show have been removed from their website

Now if only we could get rid of the Morning Rush show.......... then i'd be happy.

I can't really blame them. This is all that's left. It take's some balls to string along people like that.

The podcast from today hasn't been posted either. Really hope Heather is on tomorrow just to hear her take.

Am I the only person that thinks the Morning Rush is decent drive-to-work listening? I especially like Thursdays when they have Bruno on talking craft beer.

No, you're not. I enjoy them on the drive in every day.

Nope, I listen everyday and am usually entertained.

Really? I listened to that show for several weeks. Gave it a real shot. I generally like juvenile humor, but that show is too much. If simply saying the word "boobs" doesn't make you laugh, there isn't much more because their take on sports generally sucks. They have their moments and sometimes they have some ok guests, but that show in general is not good.

The joke is on you if you hate Marty. Yea, he's a ******. That's the point. Don't take him so seriously and you might find him more tolerable. He's funny and makes for good radio.

KXNO is laughably bad at personnel decisions. They don't know their audience and can't recognize talent (or more often, a lack of talent).

They really do need a true Iowa State fan (not of the Deace variety). There are several Hawkeyes (Ross, Travis, Downs, Sears when he's on) and zero Cyclones? Come on.

Downs seems like a good guy, but his voice gets on my nerves. Burnside is a joke and it has nothing to do with her gender. She's hokey. Brinson was hokey. That only works for the 50+ crowd. KXNO couldn't have done worse.

Look I really don't have a side to advocate for because I don't usually ever listen but I will say this. There is one simple reason why nobody should like Marty. He is a piece of **** excuse for a human being. Is it really that hard to ask to be a decent person? It isn't even just for his take on sports. He really is the lowest type of person I don't follow it but I've seen multiple things in the past year from bad debt to dealing with Leubke.

Rome is a **** but he isn't the scum of the earth. That's why he is successful. That style also really only works on a national level too. Otherwise if it is done locally all it does is **** off every fan base.

I don't think Ken is sexist. He knows what listeners want to hear...Iowa/ISU. NFL is usually fine year around...NBA/NHL during playoffs, golf during majors, and anything that is breaking news. He is a fantastic interviewer and asks good questions. Most of his guests understand to give longer answers.

I think Ken got fed up with KXNO waiting forever to give him a co-host, and he had probably planned to join with Marty even before he heard about Heather. I truly think he would have been fine with her, but he has great chemistry with Marty.

I enjoy the Morning Rush most of the time. Honestly, after an ISU game, I get most of my content/analysis breakdown from CW, Hines, ect....so by the next day I don't care as much for in depth analysis.

I'd say there is about a zero percent chance Ken left because of Heather. They were together for 2 days. Deals like this take weeks and sometimes months to pull together. You need to work out advertising, show times, location, producer, format, etc. No way all of that was done in a few days or even a few weeks after Heather was announced.

Most likely, this has been in the works to for some.

This is my issue too. I really don't want to support someone who is, by all accounts, a pretty bad person. Especially when they screw people out of money again and again. Combine that with the fact that he blatantly makes things up to get people worked up and its not my kind of "entertainment". Which is too bad because I've listened to Ken for many years and continue to do so from afar.

Yes, although he has long-winded question syndrome (something that seems to be common in DM sports radio). Half the time he takes more time asking the question then the answer takes.

On the bright side, does this mean that um, well, Kent Silversteen is not going to be "interviewed" again? that's a positive.

I turn it on in hopes they might actually be talking sports. I avoid it on Thursdays specifically because of the beer discussion, good gosh can you get more boring? Talking about beer on the radio?? I suppose those other 3 home brewers that are listening are really entertained though.
