Grant Mahoney and Jeff Woody react to Tyrese Haliburton’s injury and an odd AI story before welcoming FOX’s Rob Stone to discuss bringing Big Noon Kickoff to Iowa State, Farm-o’-geddon, and more from Rob’s career in the booth. Presented by Kelderman Manufacturing.

I’d prefer an ex football player just because when Jeff was paired with Stansbury he would spend so much time trying to put the football concepts into an analogy or metaphor that Stansbury would understand. The problem is Jeff is terrible at doing that, the mixed metaphors were constant. Having Grant have a similar background (even if he was a specialist) eliminated that and cleaned up the podcast.

I know what you mean, Woody is hard to listen to when he starts down the metaphor path and beats that horse dead for 10 mins of air time. Possibly someone told him to tone down the metaphors or at least the length there of.

Man, I've really enjoyed Kickin' It as it was great to hear the players perspective and insights from games and having gone through it all in Ames. Maybe Blyth who is local could step in?

Also no one mentioned that Woody might in in Ireland covering the game for ESPN?
