This guy, by the way, does a better job of projections in college basketball than anyone. All his stuff is stats-based, and keyed upon per-possession and not per-game averages. It's really good stuff for basketball stats junkies.

Before you peg him as a hater.

According to that, in 12/16 conference games we have 15% or less chance of winning.

I think we beat Jacksonville St. though.

Interesting analysis, but there is no way in hell we win only 1 conference game this year. Or else I may auction off my ISU fanhood on ebay.

I'm thinking somewhere along the lines of 3-5. CU, KSU, NU all at home should give us more than 1 win.

i only see him with 1 conf win but it says 3-13?

Think statistics class.

If you have a 49% chance to win each of two games, odds are individually you will lose each one. However, The odds of both together are that you will win one of two. So if you add up the percentages of all the league games, you'll get somewhere between 250 and 350%, or 3 wins.

I sure hope we beat them as well. He have more quality wins right now than we do with wins at U Mass (and they just beat Kansas) and they spanked VMI by 28.

One more thing, this all changes as the season goes on. If we win our next three games, you'll likely see our projection change to 4 or 5 league wins.
