Is that the video with him, Madison and Mills in it? They all looked/sounded impressive. It'd be sweet if 2 out of 3, or even all of them turned out to be studs for us at the linebacker position. I assume all three will redshirt this year.

So I was watching the interviews for this year's linebackers on cyclonesTV and noticed they moved Justin Webster - Yahoo! Sports to linebacker. I think this kid could be a big player down the road if he kept some of that speed. Thoughts?

I was hoping they would put some lbs on him and move him to LB!

The staff is really doing everything they can to mold athletes to fit the system.

The guy possess unreal speed. Watch his highlights, his breakaway speed is crazy. He was hurt his senior year or he has offers from everywhere.

I think he's was always recruited as a linebacker. With that speed and size I always thought it would be cool to see him at running back, but that's not where he's needed. If he is really as fast as they say and can get technique down he'll be a good one.

Loved the Madison interview as well. I thought we would want to keep him at DE but guess not. Had no idea he played basketball before so he has little football experience overall. High ceiling I am betting. Seeing all the guys we moved/recruited to LB (Madison, Webster, Brown, Meeks) I can see why we didn't get a big LB class this year (At least yet). I could see next year going after QBs, DBs & of course DL/DEs real hard.

He probably wont be quite as fast with a little more bulk at LB but I am hoping he is just as quick.

As others have said, he was recruited all along as a linebacker.

Won a state championship with a 10.73 100m as a junior. I wonder what he ran this year?

Thats pretty fast, hopefully he keeps a lot of that speed, sideline to sideline baby

I thought it was common knowledge that Webster would be at LB. I doubt all 3 of those guys redshirt. We have a big lack of depth at the position.

They'll all probably redshirt. Even with the lack of depth we'll have 6 scholarship guys at that position (George, Brackens, Miller, Knott, White, Seeley) and if somebody doesn't redshirt we'll have Meeks who was at school in the spring. Keep in mind that against a lot of teams we'll be in the nickel most of the game, so only two traditional linebackers will be playing.

The coaching staff is handing out quite a few offers to some JUCO LBs as well right now.

I thought they should have brought one in for this year though. Maybe they tried and couldn't land anyone, but this is the year we could have really used a good JUCO OLB IMO.
