We need a QB desperately. I don't think Sam is completely done, but his injury apparently won't go away, and his inaccuracy yesterday was highly disturbing. Rohach's (to this point) is worse. Yes, the line (minus Farniok) is not good right now, but a decent QB yesterday could have hit some of the passes that our 2 missed yesterday. We got blown out yesterday because our offense was highly inefficient; our defense made the changes to keep us in it, but with no help from the offense, the roof caved in.

The more laughable thing is fans continue to think just fix the QB and the offense is good. Ignoring the fact the line has been terrible (even when healthy) and the receiver group has been the biggest issue with this program for 6 years.

But yeah, just replace the QB and it's all bunnies-n-sunshine!

Exactly! There is not one position we have on offense that is worth a crap. It all falls on the coaching staff. But with that said, Ive never seen QBs make so many bad throws and refuse to step up and make a play.

Totally top to bottom. This offense has to go.

WE DO NOT NEED A JUCO QB!!

We need our line to protect better, our WRs need to get more seperation, our defense needs to get better, and some of our coaches need to get their heads out of their ***. Overall, our biggest problem is developing talent.

I realize people are freaking out, but we dont need help at any one position, we need help everywhere. IMO, QB is towards the bottom of the list for help.

Nobody is saying that QB is our only problem. It's just one among many problems. However, it is the most important position. Without a good one, you're doomed to failure pretty much.

There have been numerous people saying how we have open WRs on a vast majority of our plays, but our QBs don't find them. Now, some of that has to do with not having the time to find them. I understand that. But some is on the QB too.

And Rhoads would not be alternating QBs so often if he wasn't trying to find lightning in a bottle from someone.

I do remember Rhoads yesterday getting on Sam once when he took off and ran instead of throwing it. I don't know if he wanted Sam to just throw it away, or if there were WRs that were open that he didn't see or what? But it appeared to me that Rhoads was yelling at him to get rid of it.

I just hate how people think our QBs are absolutely terrible. They arent, by the way. Supposedly upgrading at 1 position will not make a difference unless we upgrade in multiple positions. IMO, the O-Line is the biggest weakness on offense. Upgrade the line, our QB gets better, our WRs get better, and our RBs get better.

Like I said at the end of my last post and a few others have said, we arent going anywhere if our staff does not improve developing our talent.

Talk about simpleton posts. I'm curious how you know that the "QB position" is good enough to win in this league. I saw a number of passes that were poorly thrown yesterday that had nothing to do with line play or receivers. It's been that way all season. If it wasn't an issue, why is Rhoads playing musical QB's?

i'm not one to throw a QB under the bus when his receivers aren't helping matters and his O line is as porous as Swiss cheese. However, like you said, there have been too many errant passes this season that were not affected by either of those two things for me too pass it off as those being the only problems. I like Sam's wheels when he's healthy but I honestly don't think the whole package is there. Those wheels are not going to be enough next year when our best players are our receiving corps. We need someone who can get the ball to these guys.....and more than 5-7 yards downfield.

This is what I looked at a great deal yesterday, and for the last few weeks really. Our WRs are getting plenty of separation, most of the time. A receiver doesn't need several yards of space if the timing of the QB is even remotely in the same time zone as the WR's break or cut. Again, I'm not trashing our QBs, but our receivers are getting the necessary separation.

Richardson and Rohach aren't the answers. Nothing against them...I'm sure they're great students and teammates. Bring in a JUCO QB for the next couple of years and hope that Hodge is as good as advertised.

This ISU team reminds me of the Chiefs last year. Poor QB play, terrible offensive coordinator, and lack of basic fundamentals destroyed their season. This can be fixed. Rhoads won't let this go on without making major changes this winter. I have total faith in him.

The first time your hot shot JUCO QB throws an interception he will be benched.

I supported Richardson last year before he started.

I supported Richardson after that ****** bowl performance.

I supported Richardson this entire year with his injuries.

But no longer will I support a QB, regardless of how his ankle feels, if he throws the ball 10 yards behind a receiver on a key down.

I did until Messingham was promoted to OC. On top of that he was kept on after last year's debacle. (Who are we kidding, the offense has been a debacle in the Rhoads era)

Richardson and Rohach can play. Until you get an offensive scheme that can work, it doesn't matter. If you have a great scheme and coaching you can plug in any qb see: Texas Tech/Baylor.

Alex Smith was OK when he played for Norv Turner as OC for the 49ers. Then he became a "bad" QB under Mike Nolan and Singletary (coaches with a defensive pedigree). Funny how much better he looked when Jim Harbaugh came to town. Harbaugh knew what Smith could do and set him up to succeed. Went out of his way not to throw him under the bus and schemed to his strenghts. That continues in KC under Andy. No one will ever accuse Alex Smith of being elite, but you can win with him. Sam R strikes me as the same kind of player. I have high hopes that when we make a change in OC he will be fine.

All this **** is so silly. Shut up and enjoy the day. Root for ISU next week, win or lose. Next season will be better. If it isn't, then you can start to worry.
This x1000. There's a lot more important things to worry about.
