Just for fun/joke. No one thought that would seriously be what it was called though.
The real life majority have no idea this project is even a thing yet and if it doesnt happen will never know it was ever going to be.
The majority of those who do and call it something call it that.
Is that specific enough for you?
Whatever gets named I hope we get a brewery named after it like Green Bay’s Titletown entertainment district does. It’s been awhile for me but I recommend Titletown Brewery’s Johnny Blood Red.
Maybe after a former player or coach? IDK. I don't care that much either way but the name is just... meh, The concept and layout = very cool and that's the important part but the name, IDK. I'm sure some combination of past players or coaches or something would sound cooler but at the same time the project itself is way more than just a name.
How close to a reality is it from actually happening outside of photos and paper?

That is true. I guess I just appreciate nostalgia and using your history to promote the future. I know we're not exactly Alabama or Ohio State tradition wise but we still have some good tradition and things that from a purely nostalgia point of view, it'd be nice. IDK.

I can't believe it won't be Cytown when the trademark is done. I actually think I like it and would echo that the "town" convention works well with Campus Town, Cytown, and Downtown. As for naming rights they could always do "Company A's Cytown" or "Cytown by Company B". Maybe something like that.
Well they are starting this fall with the first phase after the season. To raise the Parking lots out of the flood plain. So I would say it is starting to happen.
Yeah, they’ll sell naming rights for twenty years, then name it Campbelltown after CMC retires.
I haven't been following along that close but had heard of the project - is there a rough finished by date or just TBD? Either way its awesome

Iowa State Center-Parking and Infrastructure Improvements
Executive Summary: Iowa State University requests Board approval of a proposed Permission to Proceed with Project Planning to construct replacement parking with new lighting and install underground infrastructure, which would include new water, power, gas, phone, storm sewer and sanitary lines to support future development. The project would also raise the parking above 100-year flood plain. The estimated project budget of $25 million would be funded by Athletic and University Funds.
Background: There are approximately 40 acres of undeveloped land between the Iowa State Center and Jack Trice Stadium, currently used for commuter and event parking. The parking lots on this land have multiple maintenance issues and are in need of resurfacing. These lots are heavily used by both students and visitors to the ISU campus. Specifically, this project would improve 4,200 parking stalls serving the Iowa State Center and parking for approximately 2,000 daily commuters. A feasibility study of the site was performed to evaluate the infrastructure required for future development of this land bounded by the Iowa State Center, Jack Trice Stadium, University Boulevard and Beach Avenue. The feasibility study work included a topographic survey, geotechnical surveys, a traffic survey, an impact study and review of the sanitary sewer system capacity.
It was a funny shortcut to know what we all were referring to, but I think the vast majority would never want it actually called Pollard and Light.
