Not necessarily. You will still need to use your designated grassy area, so you may have your awning on the wrong side if you pull all the way through.
If you were going to have to back in from one end then you could drive in from the other end and you would still be facing the same way.
If these are all designed for a pull in then the issue is on the out. The nice thing about the RV lots is most stick around for a while so there is little "mad-rush" to get out at game end. A few leave right away, some stay for an hour, some stay for a couple hours, some stay for 3-4 hours, some stay overnight. At least that has been my experience in D-3 and D-4.
As far as complaining goes, never underestimate the capacity to complain. However, having grass to tailgate on will be a premium improvement. There will probably still be some complaining when it is wet and soggy, though. No generator noise will be nice, but there will still be some tailgaters who think that the whole RV lot wants to hear whatever crappy music they are listening to. Music is great part of tailgating, but some go way overboard with their penis extending sound systems.
We will also miss the ability to adjust whether we are facing toward the sun on cool days or away from the sun on those scorchers.
One of the biggest adjustments will be the remoteness of the lot. We were used to having a lot of friends beyond our tailgate group drop by as they make their rounds, on their way in to the game or post game. It will no longer be "on the way" to stop by but requiring a special trip for most since if there is a bright center to the universe we will be the farthest from it.
Between getting our RV parking moved and a good part of our group displaced by the student move it will be a year of adjustment. But as the saying goes, adapting to change is optional - but so is survival.
